Soaking up the Sun on Your Next Cabo Vacation

By Edited Oct 16, 2016 0 0

To me the best part of a vacation is getting away from the cold and into the warm sunshine. For this reason, I think that Mexico is the perfect place to take a vacation.

Cabo San Lucas is the perfect Mexican Vacation destination as it allows you to experience many activities all while enjoying the beautiful sunshine. Cabo has plenty of sun that you can soak up so I would highly suggest going there for your next vacation.

Relaxing in Cabo

Cabo San Lucas is located on the tip of the Baja California Peninsula in the municipality of Los Cabos. It is a region filled with beautiful ocean views; it’s situated where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean, as well as beautiful mountain views as the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains are located just to the north of the Los Cabos region. The beauty of Cabo will leave you breathless which is just another great reason plan your Mexican vacation there.

But back to business, soaking up the sun in Cabo is something that is easily done because the sun is constantly shining there. In fact Cabo usually enjoys over 350 days of sun a year! The best place to enjoy this sun is on the beach. There are many beaches in Cabo, but their main stretch of beach is known as El Medano (Medano Beach). This is a very safe swimming beach which also makes it one of the most popular Cabo beaches. This beach begins on the east side of the harbor and extends along the Cabo San Lucas Bay. This long stretch of beach allowed for several miles of safe swimming as well as provides a great area from swimming, jet skiing, kayaking, and other water sports. There are also many shots, hotels, bars, and restaurants on this beach so it is a prime tourist destination to hit up. El Medano and the other beaches in Cabo are the perfect place to soak up the sun. Simply bring a beach towel or chair and spread it out in the warm, fine, sand and let the sun warm you up.

Another great way to enjoy the sun in Cabo is to do activities that involve you being out in the sun, such as fishing, golfing, or snorkeling. Cabo has some of the best sports fishing in the world, so if you are a fishing enthusiast be sure to get your Mexican fishing license (for around $8 a day) and hit the water. Cabo is one of the best places to catch Marlins but you can also expect to catch tuna, yellowtail, sailfish, and wahoo quite regularly. Fishing will allow you to enjoy a fun activity all while being out in the warm Cabo sun.

Beaches in Mexico

Golfing is another great way to stay busy while still being able to soak up some Cabo sun rays. Cabo has some of the topped rank courses in the world so it is a great place to play a round or two. The Cabo Real Golf Course will amaze you as it has dramatic views of the sea from every hole. Also be sure to check out the Cabo del Sol Golf Club which features two unique courses, the Ocean and the Desert courses. Each of these courses offer up stunning views that will help make your golfing experience spectacular.

A great activity that will allow you some fun in the sun and in the water is snorkeling. Cabo lies by a protected marine bay, which means they have some of the best snorkeling locations in the world. In fact there is a more abundant marine life on the Cabo gulf than on any other gulf in the world. Snorkeling will give the opportunity to get up close and personal with hundreds of species of tropical fish and marine life. The waters in Cabo are breathtaking as you will get to see when you go on a snorkeling adventure.

Whale Watching in Cabo
The Cabo sun is one of the best reasons to go on a vacation to Cabo San Lucas. Since the sun is out almost every day of the year, it is never in short supply. Enjoy this plentiful sun by doing things like lying on the beach, swimming, fishing, golfing, and snorkeling. Just be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen so that you don’t end up going home looking like a lobster!
