Just How Do Solar Panels Work?

Solar panels are made of a bunch of photovoltaic cells made of positive and negative layers of silicon under special sturdy type of glass. SAPS - Stand Alone Power System Solar Panels

SAPS solar panels are separate from the main power grid and instead store the energy they soak up and hold it in a battery until needed. Then the electricity is fed through the wires to a regulator that regulates the power going into the storage batteries. These deep cycle batteries last for several years and the power in them can be used to power items in your home.

This system has its advantages since your home would be separate from the main power company and generating all your own power, while the other is connected to a main power company and if it lost power, so would you since no power is actually stored in your home.

Solar Panels Prices Are Coming Down

Over the years, solar panels and solar energy has gotten cheaper to purchase and use. Systems have come down in price since the 1970s more than 50 percent. Some electricity companies even give you a rebate to get money back if you install solar panels.

Solar energy through the usage of solar panels is on the rise, especially since many people are concerned about the environment and wasting resources on our planet. It is a form of energy that is inexhaustible and makes the user less dependent on fossil or other fuels and doesn’t pollute the Earth. It is cheaper, and is used in many countries around the world as it grows more in popularity.
