It's been a while since I wrote an infobarrel about my favourite subject - the funny Facebook status. Facebook statuses have been around for what seems like an eternity. I remember the first time I signed up for FB, one of my friends asked me to look at his 'status' and I had no idea what he was talking about! Anyway, the industry of update messages has now grown to such an extent that there are sites crammed full of amusing messages to share with your friends on the world's leading social network.

Philosophical Facebook status

The messages I'm going to share with you are philosophical quotes, designed to show your friends that you really are a 'thinker' and not just an idiot who plays online games all day and does no work. Well that's the plan, anyway!

Check them out, and paste them into your own Home feed:

Philosophical status update: It's not what you say, but how you say it

This phrase is one which causes a lot of people to wonder what you're talking about (which is generally the point). I used to have a friend who used to shout every word he said. He thought that by changing his intonation in this way, people would take more notice of him. They certainly did - they avoided him like the plague! Try using it in your Facebook status anyway, it's a good idea.

Philosophical status update: I eat, therefore I am

This funny Facebook status, from the god of modern day poetry, Homer Simpson, sums up the plight of the modern man when surrounded by so much temptation and high quality (high sugar) snacks. Let's eat!

Philosophical status update: There are some remedies worse than the disease

I've noticed a lot of infobarrels about health and diseases - which is an interesting point because I'm lucky enough not to be surrounded by them in real life. However, as this phrase rightly points out, sometimes people go looking for a cure or an answer so often that they might make their overall existence worse.

Those are the three statsues for your today, I hope you put them onto your own Facebook and wait for your friends to react! If you like my funny Facebook status updates, why not add my infobarrel feed to your RSS reader, or perhaps add me as a fan! I'll be sure to keep you updated about everything related to Facebook and othere social networks!
