Artist supporting breast cancer have been growing as programs like Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure and Avon Breast Cancer walk continue to expand.  Many of these artist either have battled breast cancer or have had someone close to them who has battled breast cancer.

I Run For Life by: Melissa Etheridge

As a breast cancer survivor, Melissa Etheridge wrote "I Run For Life" during her own fight with breast cancer.  The song references her determintion to overcome the disease and seeks to encourage other breast cancer survirors and their families.

Melissa has become an inspiration for many men and women through her music.  Her song was one of the firsts of many to come.

"I run for hope, I run for the truth, For all that is real."

"I run for your mother, your sister, your wife.  I run for you and me my friend, I run for life."

I'm Gonna Love You Through It by Martina McBride

Released in the summer of 2011, "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" is about a middle aged women who is battling breast cancer and the support she recieves from her family.  The song was inspired by Martina's mother who is also a breast cancer surivor.

I Was Here by Lady Antebellum

Lady Antebellum did not write this song specifically for breast cancer, but when The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk asked if they could feature thier song in an inspirational video, they could not say no.

"I Was Here" is about making a difference in the world and those who participate in breast cancer events are doing just that!

"I want to do something that matters,  say something different, something that sets the whole world on its ear.  I want to do something better with the time I've been given."

Pink Warrior by Candy Coburn

Candy Coburn wrote this song in honor of her grandmother who fought breast cancer.  After only one month of the song's release, Candy was contacted by Susan G. Komen was aked to be a celebrity ambassador.   In agreement with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 100% of the artist and producer proceeds are donated to Komen.

Fight Like a Girl by Bomshel

One of Bomshel's greatest hits, "Fight Like a Girl" was released in 2009.  Their song covers all the hard times that woen have to go through from childhood to illness and gives them the courage and strength to fight through it.

When Pink Is Just A Color Again by Kal Hourd

Written by Candian musician Kal Hourd, this touching song can bring stong men to tears.  "When Pink Is Just a Color Again" is about a women who lost her mother to breast cancer and has found support with others.
