Southwest Airlines Credit Card

There are two Southwest Airlines credit cards for the specific users. They are Visa Signature card and Visa Signature Business card. The former Southwest Airlines credit card is for personal use while the latter is for use in business. Southwest Airlines credit card has teamed up with Chase to further enhance the business operations of both companies.

To attract more passengers, the frequent use of Southwest Airlines credit card will enable the passenger to earn rebates in the form of their promotion called Rapid Rewards Award. In Rapid Rewards Award, the passenger will earn points which can be deducted from the price of the airline ticket.

Points earned from the use of Southwest Airlines credit card are also transferrable to other persons including family and friends. In order to do this, the Rapid Rewards Member needs to make some reservation either online or by calling the airline ticketing office for the traveling person. However, points earned cannot be deposited in another person's account

The Rapid Rewards Award is subject to September 11th Security Fee up to ten dollars for every roundtrip ticket. This must be paid by Southwest Airlines credit card.

The passenger will be notified though email or by slow mail on every reward points earned through frequent use of Southwest Airlines credit card. The reward points will be deposited to the passenger's account at the online site of the company MySouthwest at Southwest.com.

In case the reward points were used in the purchase of airline ticket and the intended flight was cancelled by the passenger, the cancellation should be made before the scheduled flight. Once the cancellation has been done, the reward points will be instantly re-deposited in the account of the traveler. In case of failure to cancel the reservation, reward points earned will still be re-deposited to the account but within a period of three to four days.

If the traveler misses the reserved flight, the reward points will be re-deposited back from three to four business days. However, the passenger should immediately notify the reservation counter that there were changes made prior to flight departure so that the reward points will remain under his or her name.

In order to qualify for the promotion of Rapid Rewards Award, the easiest way for the traveler to enroll is through the website Southwest.com by going to the Rapid Rewards section. Afterwards, click the "How to Enroll" on the left hand portion and just walk through the necessary enrollment process. Once completed, an account number will automatically come out on the screen. This account number will be reference used in receiving credits for every flight made using Southwest Airlines credit card.
