Spa Accessories
A soak in a spa has proven to have many physical and mental benefits. Almost seventy percent of the working public suffers from conditions related to stress and tension. The temperature of the body can be increased in just fifteen minutes of soaking in a spa. This relaxes the muscles and relieves tension. This will also make the person fall asleep faster. It does not only relax the muscles in the body, but also the mind. Hot swirling water has even better mind relaxation effects. Ancient Romans even used hydrotherapy to treat aches and pains of the body. There are indefinite benefits that people can get from swimming or soaking in a spa and using spa accessories. Arthritis can be relieved, muscle cramps can be relaxed and pain in the back and knees can be alleviated by hot water. Water exercises for joints can be done easily too. The steam that rises from the spa can clear bronchial and nasal passages.
Basically, there are two types of spas; A portable or self contained spa and a permanent or non-self contained spa. A permanent spa is the more costly type of spa. Usually they are built into the ground or are adjacent to a pool. This spa is usually quite large; however, a self-contained spa is less expensive compared to the permanent ones. This kind is not as large as the non-self contained spa, but their purposes are similar.
Choosing a spa to buy is not easy as there are many brands in the market today. They come in different shapes, features, sizes and styles. Before choosing the spa to buy, do not forget to consider the main reason why there is a need to have a spa as there are lots of options buyers can choose from. A spa that is deep with a basic shape works best with exercising. For a deeper muscle and mind relaxation purpose, it is better to use a smaller spa. Along with the confusion of which spa to buy, there are also several spa accessories and hot tub supplies to add in the kit thus making it more inviting to have a soak.
Here are some of the most important spa accessories that should be part of your package:
* Steps
This is the most important of all hot tub accessories that are required. It will be a lot easier and safer for you to get in and out of the spa with these. To keep from slipping, the steps should have an anti-slip surface because the feet will mostly be wet when stepping on it. This is one of the must spa accessories.
* Towel Rail
Tower rails have mounting brackets, which make them easy to install. This helps make the place tidy and a more relaxing environment. This is not one of the necessary spa accessories.
* Cover Lifter
This spa accessory is needed for some hot tubs and spas. The hot tub covers can be very heavy to lift using the hands alone. A cover lifter is needed in covering the spa when it is not being used. Cover lifters have a storage portion for the spa cover.
* Booster Seat
These seats are made of very durable materials and are filled with air. This makes it more comfortable when soaking in a spa for a good time, as there is no need to sit on a hard surface. There are suction cups that come along with booster seats.
* Spa Tray
A spa tray can be installed on the top part of the spa. This is one of the best spa accessories. This can be used when having a drink and a spa all at once. This does not require the person to interrupt the spa session by stepping in and out of the spa to refill the drinks.
The most important spa accessory of all is non-chlorine water. The amount of chlorine that your bodies can absorb is unsettling. Because of many sudden and unexplained illness and diseases that befall us and the people we know, we cannot help but become suspect of the chemicals that we are exposed to.
How can it possibly be safe to soak in water that can turn your colored shorts white? Frankly, it isn't. Consider switching to a water treatment system that utilizes ozone. Ozone is a powerful oxidizer and does an incredible job at keeping your water clean and safe. With an ozone system you can inhibit bacteria growth in your spa without exposing yourself to harmful chemicals. Ozone can provide the continual protection that is the equivalent of a chlorine shock. While the cost for such a system is considerable compared to just adding chlorine chemicals, the health benefits are substantial and worth the money.
There are some who realize that it is worthwhile to have a home spa even with the cost and the spa accessories. Just do not forget to keep the spa clean or microorganisms will thrive and you may develop a more severe problem.
