Spring Texas - The Best Area To Live In Texas
If you are considering a move to the Houston Texas area then take note of a place called Spring Texas. It's just on the northern tip of the Houston Metroplex . Spring is not incorporated and is a part of "The Woodlands" area which is probably the greatest planned community in state or even the nation.
Housing costs are very low for the family that is starting out - you can find a lot of tremendous deals in the low 100's and of course outrageous luxury estates in The Woodlands into the millions. Taxes in Montgomery county are very reasonable compared to Harris County. Apartments in Spring, are also very affordable for the working class families needs, and also will be able accomodate the luxury rental shopper as well.
What activities are available to you when living in this area? Well I probably cannot think of everything but since Spring TX is sandwiched between Houston and Lake Conroe the possibilities are endless. Houston of course is home the Astros and the Texans for sports fans. Shopping is probably the number American past time these days and there are so many places to spend your discretionary income that you could not visit them all in a week. The Galleria in Houston and The Woodlands Mall in Spring are the number shopping locations and if you cannot find it there, then you are probably not looking hard enough.
Splashtown USA water park is just a couple miles from Spring and Lake Conroe is just about 15 minutes away for boating, fishing, and other fun outdoor activities. Old Town Spring is another fun place for the whole family. Literally hundreds of little boutique shops with crafts, custom clothing, candles, even a hot sauce store. Lots of eateries like Wunche's, and kettle corn. They also are famous for their annual Crawfish Festival with of course all the mud bugs you can eat, cold beer, and live music.
Check out the city of Spring Texas and you will want to call it home like my wife and I have since 1996.

Howdy from another Spring resident! I grew up in Houston and moved to Spring in 2003. Great way to promote our little piece of the world!
