Spring Wedding Centerpieces
Winter will be over soon and many brides will get married next spring. This is a fantastic season for your wedding centerpieces; flowers bloom after the cold months into all sorts of amazing colors and shapes.
Spring is a great season as everything comes back to life. The weather starts showing signs of warmth in many places and it is also the season to start new things. Daffodils and tulips will grow in many gardens making them look really fresh and alive after such a long time of hibernation. This is most definitely a fantastic time to get married and there are plenty of flowers for you to choose for your centerpieces. Daisies are beautiful and roses will add the perfect romantic touch to your arrangements. Tulips and daffodils don't really last much as cut flowers; but a great idea would be to be to display them as potted plants. Also think of lilies, heather, hyacinth, orchids, cherry blossom, dahlias, fressias and begonias for the ideal fresh look.
Don't just stick with flowers. Sometimes the simples things can also work really well as part of your centerpieces. Fresh fruit will not cost you much, especially at the market, and it can look absolutely gorgeous when arranged properly. Add fresh green foliage to the pieces; twigs, candles, pebbles, sand or even candy. The colors should always match your chosen theme. For the spring we want pinks, blues, creams, and general light shades and tonal ranges. White is also welcome and it will add that touch of class an elegance to your decor. Black and white can sometimes be a bit dramatic, but if kept simple it will add to the atmosphere.
The weather in the months of March, April and May can be a little unpredictable and so you should really have a contingency plan just in case. A good idea would be to hire a big tent; it will let all the natural light through and it can also offer shade in case of strong sunny spells. If you are thinking of adding candles to your wedding centerpieces, why not match the effect with tiki torches? They can look absolutely fantastic if you are having your wedding reception in the garden.
Any type of bulb will be perfect for your centerpieces; remember to keep them simple especially if the tables are not that big. Spring is a great season for getting married and if you plan accordingly, your guests will definitely enjoy the best wedding centerpieces on the reception tables.
