Squirrel Proof Bird Feeders

Squirrels can be super annoying because they're wild and crazy and it seems like they can weasel their way in and out of anything. Now, if you're someone who takes care of birds in your backyard, your question might be how to keep squirrels out of your bird feeder? I am sure bird food is way too expensive to waste on little crazy squirrels.

Before you go and buy just any old bird feeder call your local pet store and ask them specifically to give you the names of a squirrel proof bird feeders.

Once you have decided on squirrel proof bird feeders it is time to get to work. Now you may want to consider getting something called a baffle. It is something that you buy or make that keeps the squirrel from being able to jump up and stay on the bird feeder. When you go to the pet store if you don't want the burden of making a baffle be sure ask your pet store owner if he or she has a squirrel proof bird feeders with a baffle.

Take your bird feeder and anchor it in the middle of a long wire connected from your house to a secure tree in your backyard.

Then after you have secured your squirrel proof bird feeders. You can begin to add some different items to your wire such as cans, soda bottles and plastic records anything that you think would keep the squirrel from being able to jump up on the bird feeder, it will be like little distractions for him.

Now bird feeders work wonders that if you are feeling generous towards the squirrels there actually squirrel feeders for them as well. You can either buys feeders from a pet store or you can make your own squirrel feeder. All the squirrels really need if you feel like feeding them are dried seeds and corn.
