Stainless Steel Coffee Makers
Stainless steel coffee makers are great to have in your kitchen, as it is more convenient to make your own coffee, as well as less of a burden on your wallet.
The blood that runs the working class of America is coffee. It is what prepares us for a long day of hard work. While there are plenty of places to buy a cup of java in the morning, there is nothing better than enjoying a homemade cup of coffee in the morning to get your day started.
Attractive and Clean
The stainless steel gives these coffee makers a very attractive look and will fit in nicely to any kitchen. Also, the steel serves another useful purpose - it is naturally more resistant to bacteria and germs than plastic. Bacteria will have a harder time surviving on stainless steel, while it can thrive on plastic. Less germs is always a good thing around the kitchen.
Lots of Different Sizes and Features
Stainless steel coffee makers come in many different shapes and sizes. They vary anywhere from 4 cup coffee makers to 12 cups. Also, price can vary greatly from about $30 to $150. You certainly get what you pay for, and while they all can make coffee, the quality of the coffee and the features the coffee maker has are a reflection of the price.
Some basic features that most stainless steel coffee makers have are the time and a function to automatically start brewing at a certain time. Advanced features found on more expensive models include permanent coffee filters and a charcoal water filter, in addition to a more efficient brewing method for a better tasting cup of coffee.
Cuisinart DCC-1400FR Coffee Maker Review
The stainless steel Cuisinart coffee maker is a great coffee maker that is very affordable. It includes and LCD clock and a 24 hour programmable timer. It uses a charcoal water filter to ensure better coffee by filtering the water you use. For those that need your coffee quickly and it hasn't stopped brewing, there is a brew pause feature that will stop it from dripping so you can pour yourself a cup. The 12 cup stainless steel carafe it comes with is double walled and sealed very well, so your coffee will stay hot LONG after the pot warmer turns off.
This coffee maker has no real disadvantages with it. However, one problem is that the way the carafe is designed to trap in heat makes it very difficult to get the last few drops of coffee out of it when pouring. Also, the opening to the water reservoir is relatively small and hard to pour water into it. If you're not careful, you can easily make a mess.
Overall, an excellent stainless steel coffee maker (with very minor annoyances) that is a must buy for any coffee loving household.
