Stainless Travel Drinking Mugs for People on the Go

By Edited Nov 13, 2013 1 2

Life on the Go

Stainless travel drinking mugs are a must for people on the go. Whether on a long road trip or the daily commute to the office, it sure is nice to bring your coffee or tea along for the ride and still have a high quality drinking mug to use in the car. A stainless steel travel mug is a great way to keep a drink hot while getting from one place to another.

Why a Travel Mug?

Of course, you can use a standard coffee cup but a travel drinking mug will fit more easily into a typical cup holder in a car. In addition, a travel mug is taller and easier to grab while you are in the car. Travel mugs also include a top that is very important or when you hit a bump or pothole in the road. For a long road trip or commute, you can't beat insulated travel mugs for keeping your drink hot for a long time.

If you like to get coffee from a convenience store or coffee shop, they will be happy to put your coffee directly into your own mug which will save you garbage and will also mean that you don't have to drink out of a cheap plastic lid.

Why Stainless Travel Mug?

Stainless steel is a great choice for a heated travel coffee mug because it is easy to clean. Since you will have coffee sitting in the bottom of the mug for several hours, stainless makes cleanup easy when you get home. It is also not fragile like a ceramic mug would be and it is less likely to make rattling noise as you drive. Stainless steel is durable, looks great, and lasts for a very long time. As a bonus, stainless steel just looks modern and cool.

How About Insulated Travel Mugs?

For the greatest in heat retention, make sure you get an insulated travel mug. Insulated travel mugs typically work by either adding some insulation around the drink compartment or by adding a small air chamber between the outer and inner walls to keep the influence of the outside temperature to a minimum.

Alternatively, you can find heated travel mugs that will use your car's power supply to keep your cup of coffee at the perfect temperature no matter how slow you like to drink it. A standard insulated drinking mug will keep heat for longer than a non-insulated one, so if you will use your cup over long drives this is a must for you.

Other Options

If you want to take it up a notch or you are looking for a gift idea, personalized travel mugs are a unique idea that will get a lot of use. Personalized coffee travel mugs make it easy to know which cup is yours and as a gift they really add a personal touch.

Other options that you will find is stainless lids on durable plastic bodies, mugs with or without handles, and a host of different lids to choose from. There are lids that will close completely to retain heat and others that do not include this moving part. There are mugs that are slender and tall and others with a base made to fit in your car's cup holder but then wider at the top to keep the overall height down.

Add a Stainless Travel Mug

If you are tired of drinking cold coffee in a cheap cup from the gas station or the coffe store or if you are tired of wedging your home coffee cup into your car's cup holder, step up to a high quality travel coffee mug. Stainless travel drinking mugs are for people on the go.

Another benefit of stainless steel travel drinking mugs is that they eliminate the need for paper or styrofoam cups that add to the trash.

It's true. I have never had a problem bringing my own mug into a gas station or coffee store for a fill-up either.
