Stay in Makati - The Joya Lofts and Towers

By Edited Oct 6, 2015 0 0

When staying in Manila and looking for a luxurious hotel option most people typically only look at the Peninsula Manila or the Shangri-La Manila hotels, both of which are actually in the city of Makati. However, if you're looking for an alternative to the typical hotel experience and are looking for a comfortable place to stay for more than a few nights, you should consider staying at the Joya Towers and Lofts in Rockwell Center in the heart of Makati.

The Joya Towers and Lofts are a pair of luxury condominium towers rising above Rockwell Center, Makati's latest and most luxurious private community. Located in the north of Makati and just south of the now-clean Pasig River and the cities of Mandaluyong and Pasig. Rockwell Center is also centrally located within Metro Manila, a sprawling expanse of metropolis containing several cities, providing easy access to EDSA, Metro Manila's main thoroughfare, the airport (20 minutes), and the Ortigas Business District (10 minutes). All assuming normal traffic.

Within Rockwell Center are several more luxury condominiums such as Rizal and Amrosolo, which are at the moment private residences without short or long-term rentals. At the Joya Lofts and Towers, there is a lobby for the residences and lobby for the guests checking-in.

At the Joya Lofts and Towers in Rockwell Center are studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units available for rent. A typical studio is about $135 per night and a 1 bedroom $160, lower than the average room rate at the Shangri-La as of February 2010. Within your Joya Tower room is nicely appointed modern furniture, cable internet, cable TV, and a full kitchen. It is the perfect combination of the convenience of a hotel with the comfort of apartment.

A large pool deck is featured on the 7th floor and is often used for large gatherings especially as the late afternoon Manila sun sets. On the pool deck are a couple dozen teak recliners and towels for you to use. The Joya gym is on the 3rd floor of the North tower and has a full compliment of weights and exercise equipment, including a pair of Concept2s, the best rowing machines available. Yoga classes are offered in the 2nd floor studio and are held on Monday and Wednesday nights at 6:30pm.

The convenience of having the Power Plant mall across the street is the best part about staying at the Joya Lofts and Towers. Ferragmo, a great supermarket, a movie theatre, and 2 bookstores are across the street along with dozens of great restaurants, both cheap and luxurious.

The Joya Towers and Lofts are perfect for the first time visitor to the Philippines who wants to live like a local but with the convenience and luxury of a hotel in Manila.
