Steps To Help You Arrive To Work On Time

By Edited Sep 10, 2016 0 2

In today's economy if you have a job you are one of the fortunate ones. Arriving to work late can be a problem. If you are one of the millions who have a problem arriving to work on time this article is for you. This problem can be solved with a little planning and preparation. Here are a few productive steps you can use in order to arrive to work on time.

Take your clothes out the night before-This tip can save you a lot of time, by deciding what you will wear the night before. Make sure you include your undergarments, shoes and accessories. If you lay them out the night before, you will waste less time the next day trying to decide what you will wear that day. Make sure you know exactly where your purse and keys are. These two items can be time stealers. There is nothing like wasting five minutes looking for your keys. The objective is to have everything in its place.

Fix your lunch the night before-If you take your lunch to work you can prepare it the night before you go to bed. Not only will this save you money but it will save you valuable time as well.

Go to bed on time-It is very important for you to get your proper rest. This can really determine how you start your day off. If you have the proper amount of rest you are less likely to feel tired or grumpy. This is an important aspect of you being on time.

Get up when your alarm clock rings-When your alarm clock rings you should automatically get up. Do not hit the snooze button and go back to sleep. If you have to place the alarm clock on the other side of the room do it. This will allow you to get up and start your day on time verses hitting the snooze button repeatedly. Another idea that can help you arrive to work on time is to set your clock ahead, anywhere from five to ten minutes. The objective is to set the clock ahead of time and continue to keep your same productive pace. This defeats the purpose if you slow down or ignore the time because you feel you have extra time.

Get up and start your day on time-You should allot how much time you will spend in the shower. It is very important that you keep track of the time while you are in the shower. The time that you gained will slip away if you are not mindful.

Leaving home earlier-Know how many minutes it takes you to get to work, then leave home ten to fifteen minutes earlier. This will give you more time if you run into a traffic jam or have to make a quick stop before you arrive to work.

If you have children you can also follow the steps above. By doing as much as you can the night before: getting up on time and sticking to the time you have allotted for each step you will be able to get to work on time.
