Acupuncture is like most therapy, it might work for you or might be not. What to expect from an acupuncture therapy. First, you will be stressed because of the experience and you will be unsure if you are doing the right thing. When you go to consult your doctor, you will have to be mentally prepared for what will follow.
You will be asked to take your clothes off and either sit or stand. The practitioner or doctor will then start to insert tiny needles into your body. Where will the needles be inserted? They will be inserted all over your body. You have some needles inserted to the upper back of your neck. Some will be inserted into your back, chest, fingers, legs and shoulders. You will have to try and relax for about 30 minutes, the doctor will then start to remove the needles and you can get dressed. After the acupuncture is completed, you might be prescribed some homeopathic medications.
Does it hurt?
Well, how would you feel if someone sticks dozens of needles into your body? It does hurt but not painfully unbearable. The needles are tiny so the pain is quick and it will quickly dissipate. If you are afraid of needles, it might take a lot of courage to undergo an acupuncture treatment. If your aim is to relieve stress, you might become stressed with the thought of so many needles.
Does it relieve stress?
Many people have reported relief from stress after an acupuncture treatment. However, you might feel that your stress is back the following day after your treatment.
