Some may think that there is no stretch mark cure. This question is pondered by many people who are forced to cope with this condition. Stretch marks can leave behind hideous bright red and purple misshapen lines that go down your stomach, butt, thighs, arms, back and many other places on your body, they are not easy to look at and are very agitating to the person who suffers from the condition.

Gaps in your skin and a loss for collagen in those areas basically form a scar. There are many treatments that can help you regain some collagen that your skin is lacking, however it is not enough to be thought of as a stretch mark cure. Enough with the negatives, on the positive side there are options for reducing the appearance:

1. Makeup - This reduction technique is not mainly for guys, but it will work for both of the sexes, makeup can be used to hide the appearance of embarrassing stretch marks.

2. Herbal Treatment - There are plenty herbs and plants that can be used to hide the effects of stretch marks, and even though they are not a magical cure, these herbs can enhance your complexion. Basil and sandalwood leaves can particularly be of aid, also cocoa butter is another ointment that people claimed helped their situation. Most of the options listed above will work to lighten or make your stretch marks less noticeable, and also, they are very inexpensive and will not have you digging deep into your wallet.

3. Vitamin E + Exfoliate - Stretch mark scars can be reduced by exfoliating the affected area. Exfoliating removes the top layer of your skin, making room for new skin to re-grow and heal the scarred area, but be warned - this method only works if your skin is exfoliated often.

After exfoliating your skin, when your top layer of skin cells has been removed and your skin is vulnerable, attempt to apply vitamin E to the scarred tissue, as Vitamin E is known for its ability to heal when in contact with skin and scars. It has regenerating properties and will heal scarred tissue very fast. If you don't have vitamin E, try using the best stretch mark cream you can find in its place.
