There are a lot of different types of strollers available. Basically, there is one for just about any activity a young mom or dad would like to do with their little one.

Infant Travel System Stroller

These are good-sized strollers with a baby car seat that clips in and out. In case you're planning to get only one stroller, this can be the one you wish. These strollers have features that a lot of moms and dads like, such as good canopy, good wheels, and decent size basket, full recline, tray for a child, cup holder for you; plus it folds easily. These strollers are just perfect for someone with a limited budget who wants something easy. However, keep in mind that these are not intended for hiking or heavy off road use.

Car Seat Stroller

Basically, an infant car seat will attach directly to the frame of the stroller. The key benefits are that it is easy to use and quite inexpensive. Furthermore, it is lightweight and compact. The cons are that it is cheaply made and really cannot withstand overuse. The life expectancy is six months to one year. And after this you still have to get another one.

Umbrella Stroller

Umbrella strollers are secondary strollers - the lightest, smallest and most basic available. These are the most bought second strollers after you purchase one of the first four systems. These cannot be used until he child is at least 6 months because there is no recline. Only very few do recline. These strollers are lightweight, easy to use, compact and fairly inexpensive. Everything is small, canopy, wheel size and basket. These are just perfect for families on the go.

Luxury Travel System

Luxury travel systems are quite expensive. It is possible to get two to three of those for the price of one of these. Ignoring the price you will get a more solid stroller with added features, but also there are some features taken away. Some features removed are a tray for a child and a cup holder for you. There are many added features to the luxury stroller. The main feature is the bassinette. The bassinette allows the newborn to lay flat at 180 degrees up to about 4 months. It is possible to also use these inside your house. Another positive feature is the ability to rotate the handle bars or actually flip the seat around if you want to. This way it is possible to have a little better interaction with the child or it is possible to flip it around if you are pushing into the blinding sun. The wheel size increases which make it easier to walk through parks and beaches. These are just perfect for mommies and daddies who do a lot of walking in local parks and for those families who do not mind paying a little extra.

All Terrain/Jogging Stroller

All terrain or jogging strollers, besides being sturdy and durable, actually provide a luxury ride similar to luxury strollers. Like the previous three these do have infant car seat capabilities; however it is not a good idea to go jogging until the child is at least six months old. All of these are quite big, heavy, and have an average storage size. On the other hand they have a high weight capacity. Jogging strollers are just perfect for joggers but also for health-minded moms and dads who do a lot of walking in parks.
