Styles of Reclosable Bags

When it comes to reclosable bangs, many people immediately think of plastic reclosable bags, that either have a zipper type closure or that flap over to seal flat. However, there are many different styles of reclosable bags that are used for packaging.

For example, a very simple type of reclosable bag is one where a string is threaded through the top of the bag, which when drawn immediately seals up the top of the bag. Of course, this does not seal totally but it is sufficient for many items. You will frequently see this type of bag used at flea markets or outdoor stands, and it is used for packaging everything from clothing to household items.

Some reclosable bags are made from material other than regular clear plastic. Electronic equipment, that needs to be kept from being damaged by static, will frequently be packaged in anti-static reclosable bags. These type of bags often are a metallic silver in color with a flap that folds over and closes the bag when it is pressed down.

Hang hole reclosable bags are made, often with a zip type closing, with a small hole punched into the top of the bag above the zip. These type of bags are very useful for packaging small items such as small handyman or electronic parts. They can be easily hung on a display board in a shop, where it is easy for the shopper to see at a glance what is in the bag. Frequently these bags hold small parts that will need to be used or replaced over time, thus the convenience of supplying them in a recloseable bag.

It is also possible to buy, in bulk, large rolls of reclosable plastic bags. These are very handy if you do a lot of packaging and need to sell your items in sealed bags. They are also useful in specialized areas such as areas where samples are frequently needed. Having them already on rolls makes it very easy to quickly detach the bag as needed, and it is much more efficient than having them stor ed in small boxes, for example. It also keeps the bags looking neat and tidy, no matter how frequently they are needed.

Mini reclosable bags are great to use if you are selling stickers, tiny jewelry, or arts and crafts items. These bags usually do not have the more bulky zip closure but rather the closure that is simply pressed together.

As you can see there are many different types of reclosable bags. No matter what your specific needs, however, with all the variety available you should be able to easily find just what you need.
