By Edited Aug 18, 2016 0 0

If you're considering an internship this summer, you've probably already started to search for both the perfect destination and the best possible placement: there's a wealth of interning opportunities available, so how do you find the one that's right for you?

Firstly, it's important to apply early; that way your internship provider will have time to find you a great placement while you'll have time to fully prepare yourself for your journey. So if you've decided you want to embark upon a summer internship, now is the time to submit your application. Secondly, it's crucial to pick the right destination – and there couldn't be a better time to intern in China!

Most people undertake a summer internship to enhance their CV, accumulate valuable work experience, learn new skills and build up their network of professional and personal contacts: by interning in China you'll have the opportunity do all of the above, and a great deal more, in one of the world's most exciting countries.

Over the past few years China's popularity as a destination for tourists and businesses alike has exploded, and for good reason. China is the fourth largest country in the world and its long and fascinating history means it is rich with cultural and historical attractions - the Great Wall, the Terracotta Army, the Temple of Heaven and Tiananmen Square are just a few of the amazing sights the country holds. China also boasts a highly diverse natural landscape comprising of fertile lowlands, towering mountain ranges and arid, hostile deserts. There's plenty to attract both nature lovers and adrenalin junkies – from wandering through temples to visiting Mount Everest's base camp!

From a professional perspective too, China is the ideal destination for an internship. Since the country 'opened up' to the world economy in 1978, its GDP has grown by roughly 10% annually, and its domestic economy is now the third largest in the world. This amazing growth rate means that multi-national companies are queuing up to do business with, and in, China. By embarking on an internship here you'll be gaining experience in an incredibly dynamic and fast growing business environment, and future employers will understand that you're ambitious, experienced and adaptable. With so many benefits it's no surprise that an increasing number of graduates and businesses are heading to China – it's the perfect choice for a summer internship.
