What is a superfood?

Green Vibrance

By using a few basic superfood smoothie recipes, you can inject all of the nutrients, antioxidants, and immune boosters of some of the healthiest foods on the planet into your diet with relative.  Although eaten individually, super foods may taste dull or bland, when blended together with other tasty fruits and juices, you can easily whip up a healthy shake recipe in just a few minutes.  Super foods were made extremely popular by David Wolf in his book released in 2009, which describes his research into the most nutritionally dense foods in the world.  He claims his top 10 list of super foods to have the highest healing and dietary power available because they are loaded with vitamins, clean proteins, enzymes, minerals antioxidants, and healthy fats.
Surprisingly, Wolf’s list of super foods is not limited to exotic difficult to find plants and shrubs.  In fact, many people are surprised to find that some berries are considered superfoods, along with cacao which is the base of many tasty sweets like chocolate.  Cocao can added to healthy shake recipes that make them taste like something you’d drink even if it wasn’t a superfood smoothie.  Cocao has developed a bad reputation because of the calories and sugar in products like Hershey Bars, but true raw cacao is actually rich in magnesium, antioxidants, and iron. The more bland tasting super foods like hempseed, and coconut oil can be easily masked by the juicy sweet flavor of blueberries which is also extremely high in antioxidants.  Other more exotic fruits like the wolfberry (commercially called the Goji Berry) is high in both macro nutrients and micro nutrients like amino acids, poly saccharides, mono saccharides, and 11 essential daily minerals.

Step 3 - Add 1 tablespoon pure coconut oil
