Supplements to Fight Candida Overgrowth--Natural Antifungal Supplements: Part 1

Caprylic Acid is one of three fatty acids found in coconut oil and it is a powerful antifungal that is effective in treating Candida overgrowth.  Caprylic Acid works by interfering with the cell walls of the Candida yeast.  Further, Caprylic Acid is effective in restoring the natural, acid environment of your stomach which is important for allowing your immune system to function naturally.

Pathenthine is the most active form of Pathothenic Acid (also known as Vitamin B5).  Panthethine is effective at treating Candida overgrowth because it helps your body metabolize acetaldehye--one of the toxic byproducts released by Candida  and it boosts your adrenal glands which are often weakened by Candida and play a vital role in your immune system.

Goldenseal

Goldenseal is a natural antifungal and is also effective in healing wounds and treating various infections.  The active ingredient in Goldenseal, berberine, inhibits the growth of Candida, regulates blood sugar levels thus preventing spikes in blood sugar that can feed Candida, and activates the white blood cells in the body thus strengthening the immune system.
