Surgery For Stretch Marks

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Without a doubt some individuals consider having surgery for stretch marks a drastic option but you can go this route if there are no alternatives. It goes without saying that stretch marks are not appealing and diminish the confidence you already have so turning to a surgeon could be your way out.

Option One: The Surgical Path

A guaranteed option for removing all of your stretch marks is to simply have a surgeon slice them out, by far the most invasive way of dealing with those annoying marks. This choice usually is made available to people with severe stretch marks or even sagging skin that may have been caused by a recent pregnancy that has left them with a body they are not content with.

In this procedure the surgeon makes a precise incision around the pubic area and all the extra saggy and damaged skin is stretched down. Any extra skin with scars on it is removed and an entirely new belly button is created and the doctor sews up the wound.

If you had serious stretch marks then surgery for stretch marks could be your only hope but it will likely leave that part of your body with a pronounced scar.

Option Two: Chemical Peels

If surgery is out of the question for you consider having a chemical peel done instead, which is a process that involves applying certain chemicals to the area to remove the uppermost layer of skin. A doctor will apply this chemical to the area and it will remove the very top layer and the next much healthier layer will be uncovered.

Option Three: Laser Stretch Mark Removal

Another very popular type of procedure that a lot of people use is laser therapy for stretch marks. This "excimer" laser, as it is called, is administered directly on the impaired skin and starts to dissolve the affected skin even more.

Using this laser will help the area recover more efficiently because a greater deal of collagen is created which assists in packing this space with more skin. The only downside is you will need at least ten or even more appointments to have the desired effect of reducing the stretch marks by at least twenty to fifty percent.

Thankfully if surgery for stretch marks or any of the above options do not work there are additional choices available online or in certain local and national retailers.
