So before you run out to the store or make that doctors appointment try one or more of these to see if they work for you.
Things You Will Need
Baking soda witch hazel white glue hydrogen peroxide Preparation H honey
Use baking soda. Baking soda can be used to exfoliate your face. Exfoliation will remove dead skin on the surface so the skin cells won'ÂÂt clog your pores and become infected which will cause pimples. Place 2 tablespoons of baking soda in a small cup and slowly add water. Mix continuously to form a thick paste. Use a cotton swab to dab the paste on each pimple. Allow the paste to sit for about 5 minutes. Wet your hands and apply the rest of the baking soda paste all over your face. Gently make circular motions for 1 to 2 minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat your face dry.
Use witch hazel as an astringent. Soak a cotton ball in witch hazel, squeeze out the excess, wipe your entire face. Witch hazel will remove extra oil from your skin and dry out pimples. Use with care around your eyes.
Try white glue for blackheads. Apply white glue to your entire face or just the areas that are blackhead prone. Be sure to avoid your eyes. Allow the white glue to completely dry and then peel it off. The white glue will pull out the blackheads. This really works well and is much less expensive than buying strips made for blackheads.
Use hydrogen peroxide to clean your pores. Dip a cotton ball in hydrogen peroxide and wipe your entire face to cleanse your pores. Hydrogen peroxide will remove pimple causing bacteria. Remember to be careful around your eyes. Hydrogen peroxide is available at pharmacies.
For painful, red, swollen pimples use Preparation H. Dab a little Preparation H on each pimple to reduce swelling, pain and redness. Be careful around your eyes.
Put a little dab of honey on each pimple. Honey is a natural antibacterial agent. Honey will also help a pimple to heal faster.
While these methods may sound a little strange, they really do work. They are also much less expensive than a doctor's appointment, prescription or over the counter pimple remedy.
