Sweet Almond Oil for Skin: Simple Mask Recipes

Almond oil is beneficial for every skin type; it can revitalize your skin, especially if you add to 1 tablespoon of the oil 1 drop of the following essential oils: rosewood, patchouli and lavender.
There is a good toning mask suitable for any skin type: take two tbsp. of oatmeal and dissolve them in hot water; add 2 drops of essential oils of rosemary and lemon, and 5 ml of almond oil to the resulting creamy mass. Use when you feel comfortable to; but generally such masks with natural oils are better used before going to bed, and many of them are kept for around 20 minutes if not pointed differently.

You can make a mask for facial cleansing of dry and normal skin to use instead of a regular soap: make a mixture of egg yolks, crushed in 1 teaspoon of water and 15 drops of almond oil, and then apply on your face for 15 minutes. Rinse face with warm water after that.

Almond oil can help smooth wrinkles around eyes and deal with dark circles. Take pure oil and apply it with your fingertips along the massaging lines on the eyelid skin with light tapping motions.

In case of mature and dry skin almond oil can give regeneration and hydration. In this case the mask made of a mixture of 15 ml of warm almond oil and 2 drops of essential oil of neroli, and sandalwood will be especially beneficial.

For the age-related changes of the skin there is another good mask recipe: soak a cotton napkin in hot water, squeeze it, put 25 ml of almond oil on it and apply the napkin on your face and neck for 30 minutes. Cover it with a towel. You can do this 1-2 times per month, and it will help support skins elasticity.

For oily skin almond oil can serve as a good bacteria protection. Mix 15 mg of warm almond oil and the citrus essential oil.

If your skin is prone to irritation, is too sensitive, or have a visible vascular pattern, almond oil will help it by correcting and improving its color, giving your skin a velvety tone, soften it and make it fresh-looking.

Almond oil can help to prevent  stretch marks on the problematic areas of the body when used during pregnancy. Use the following mixture: 100 ml of almond oil, 4 drops of lavender, neroli and mandarin essential oil. Use the mixture for gentle massaging of the abdomen and thigh in the second half of pregnancy.

You can also smooth some wrinkles on the face by massaging with almond oil heated to 37-38 ° C.
Warm almond oil is also a good healer for cracked skin on your hands; it also protects your skin from harmful UV rays. And since it is a completely natural product, the benefits of almond oil for skin are vast and not spoiled by any negative side effects; the oil is also safe for kids' skin.
