Liver disease can have serious consequences on the body. Understanding symptoms of Liver Disease can help you identify this dangerous condition early. If you believe you may be suffering from one of the symptoms of Liver disease, or you have questions, consult your doctor for more information. Early detection and prevention is important!

One of the easiest symptoms of liver disease to identify is called jaundice. People with this condition typically develop a yellowish hue. This is evident in a person's skin color, as well as in the whites of their eyes. People suffering from jaundice may also notice that the color of their urine has become much darker than usual. It is not unusual for newborn, or premature newborns, to suffer from this condition.

The frequent need to urinate can be a symptom of liver disease. Many people may also notice that they always feel thirsty.

Liver disease can cause swelling in the abdominal region. This is generally more noticeable on the right side of the body as this is where your liver is located. As the abdomen swells, it may become painful for the person. A doctor may palpate this area of the body during an examination to determine tenderness and swelling.

Pay close attention to your diet. People with liver disease commonly develop a loss of appetite. When this occurs, it is not uncommon for people to lose weight.

Bowl movements can indicate liver disease. Stools that are lighter in color than they previously were can be a symptom. A change in the pattern of your bowl movements may also be a symptom of liver disease. It is a good idea to pay attention to your bowl movements in order to notice these subtle changes.

Liver disease can also cause headaches and dizziness. Some people will also suffer from depression as a result of liver disease

It is important to keep in mind that many different conditions can cause one or more of these symptoms. There are also several different types of liver diseases that can cause these symptoms. It is always a good idea to talk with your doctor about any concerns that you may have.
