Take a Detox Bath
The Detox Bath is a health system devised by Louis Kuhne to help us maintain our health and body in an optimal condition. The Detox Bath works on the principle of cooling down the corea areas of a human body, i.e. the groin and genitals by applying cold water for ten to twenty minutes on a daily basis, or at least 4 times a week. Detox baths are a simple, free home hydrotherapy technique that offers a natural alternative for keeping diseases at bay by strengthening the body's inherent ability in flushing out waste deposits. Detox foot baths tend to use nothing but water alone when trying to eliminate fat and toxins and maintain a healthy and toned body.
Below are two of my favorite detox bath recipes to soak away toxins in the body…
Detoxifying salt soak
One basic detox bath recipe that is very easy to do at home is a salt soak, To begin with, you can fill up your bathtub with warm water, 2 cups of baking soda, 1 cup of Epsom salts, 1 cup of sea salt and 1 tablespoon of vegetable glycerin. If you want the added benefit of a relaxing essential oil, you can add a few drops of lavender to the bathwater. Next, just simply sit back, relax and soak in the tub for around 20 minutes. These Epsom detox bath salts will cause you to sweat; sea salt helps you relax and unwind. You can also scrub your skin with soap or mix some sea salt with your shower gel on a washcloth and then use the cloth to scrub away dead skin cells on your body. In a way, cleansing and detoxification come hand in hand.
Ginger bedtime bath
Ginger itself has great natural cleaning and relaxing powers. When coupled with an iconic detox foot bath machine, the potent combination will serve as a good way to detox your body before bed. For a start, you can run a hot bath and add 1/8 cup of either grated ginger root or ground powdered ginger from the spice rack. Next, all you have to do is to sit in the bath for 40 minutes if you can. The ginger will start to make you sweat halfway through, which helps in removing toxins from your body. You can expect to continue sweating for around an hour or so even when you have gotten out of the bath. But this is a good thing since it is your body's way of cleaning itself from the inside.
