Are you looking for a memorable honeymoon? Then why not consider a Bahamas honeymoon? With plenty to do for couples of all ages – and beautiful scenery from every hotel room window to boot – the Bahamas is the perfect honeymoon getaway. I'll give you ten reasons why.

1. Private Rental Cottages: The Bahamas is home to many private islands. If you don't have enough money to buy one of your own, you can rent a posh vacation home on someone else's. With private beach access, hammocks on the deck, boardwalks out to the ocean and beautiful sunsets every evening, you can't go wrong with your own private paradise on your Bahamas honeymoon.
2. Couples Activities on the Ocean: Vacations are so much less expensive when you're only paying for two people. Rent a two-person jet ski – or compete against each other with two jet skis, go parasailing in a two-person parachute harness or go scuba diving off a private island.
3. Adults-Only Hotels: Certain Bahamas hotels cater specifically to guests above 21 years of age. So although you might hear a few rowdy guests making a ruckus outside your hotel door at night, at least you won't hear little kids yelling, screaming and running around at two in the morning.
4. The Atlantis Resort: The Atlantis Resort is enough reason in and of itself to take a Bahamas honeymoon. With activities right out on the beach, parties at Royal Towers in the evening and a lively nightlife at the Marina, newlyweds fit right into the landscape. In addition, Atlantis Resort accommodations at The Reef or The Cove are suited more towards adults and have age restrictions on children.
5. Private Transportation: Neither of you have to drive a bit while you're on your Bahamas honeymoon. Bahamas visitors seldom drive cars, if at all. Either take a bus, a shuttle from the hotel or a taxi. Although the ride won't be romantic unless you rent a posh SUV limousine, you can spend some quality time while being driven around by a Bahamian native.
6. Great Picture Opportunities: Almost anywhere you turn in the Bahamas is a great photo op. So your Bahamas honeymoon photos will all come back beautiful. Now, if you're all sunburned in each photo, that's a different issue. Just bring lots of sunscreen.
7. Strolls on the Beach: Few activities beat taking a walk each morning along the beach in the Bahamas. Enjoy the fresh sea air, rising sun and squawking sea gulls as you pick up sea shells and coral washed up from the Caribbean Sea.
8. High Fashion Shopping: You might not think of the Bahamas as a hub for buying expensive jewelry and sunglasses, but in fact, there are several shops in downtown Nassau especially that cater to newlyweds with a fat wallet. Even the Marina at the Atlantis Resort has some expensive Gucci and Versace style shops.
9. Straw Market: And for the newlyweds who don't have too much money to blow on their Bahamas vacation – there's the Straw Market in downtown Nassau. One of the most popular spots ever for Bahamas visitors, you can buy knockoff purses of the hottest new Chanel, Dior, Juicy Couture, Gucci, Prada and Armani styles. Just keep a zipped lip about where you got them when you get back home.
10. Fancy Restaurants: Not too many newlyweds want to spend their honeymoon eating at a total dive. During your Bahamas honeymoon, you have your choice of casual, formal or downright fancy restaurant options. Plan ahead though, even before you leave on your trip, as many restaurants require reservations weeks in advance.
