1. Dell Optiplex GX620 Desktop Computer

Dell Optiplex GX620 Desktop Computer - Best Computers for Business

When deciding on the right computer for you and your business, one thing many people have a tendency to immediately look at is the price. The Dell Optiplex GX620 desktop computer is a great choice if you are a business on a budget. At a mere $300 dollars, this computer is excellent for your business needs. Assuming you will solely be using this computer for business purposes (using Excel for spreadsheets and occasional internet browsing), then I would have no problem highly recommending this specific model of Dell computers.

Of course, it should be pointed out that this computer will not likely be something very effective if you use it for personal things as well. Dell computers, typically running a Windows operating system, are very prone to viruses and other technical problems. I have had multiple Dell computers in my lifetime, and at most they have lasted 1-2 years (if that). Again, I will restate that if your sole usage of this computer will be for business purposes; and you are responsibile with your online activities, then you should be able to squeeze this machine for even longer (3 or so years).

To make the online deal even better, also included is a LCD monitor, a mouse, keyword, and speakers. At $300 dollars, you are saving A LOT of money; as all of these devices alone could cost another $300 dollars themselves.

2. Apple MacBook Pro MD313LL 13.3-Inch Laptop

The Apple Macbook Pro MD313LL laptop computer is an excellent choice if you are willing to spend more money for a computer that will be fully functional straight out of the box, as well as useable for both business and personal things. Not to mention, Apple computers are not prone to viruses that plague other operating systems. This specific model of computer is one that I now own, and I find it to be an excellent laptop for all of my needs. I have had this computer for 2+ years, and it continues to run just as if I had taken it out of the box.

Apple computers are not typically viewed as business computers (unless your business is in the arts or music), however I have found no reason to fault this brand of computers in this respect (aside from the potentially steep price). When it comes to small business, Apple computers offer a range of software products that are very competitive (and often the same) as those found on computers running Windows operating systems. For example, you will be able to access all of the necessary Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.

Lastly, it should also be pointed out that owning a laptop makes your business much more transportable. Imagine having to give a presentation down the road. You can simply pack up this lightweight computer and be on your way without a problem. You cannot do that with a desktop computer.

HP computers are what I deem to be a middle ground between Dell and Apple brand computers. As such, the price sits nicely at a $599 dollar pricepoint. With this in mind, one should be instantly attracted to this computer because of it's sleek design and appearance. It looks very professional. In addition to this, HP computers are far more reliable to Dell; yet still runs the formidible Windows operating system (primarily), unless you are a Linux user. This specific model of computer comes prepackaged with Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.

If you are willing to live with the fact that Windows computers are prone to viruses and other problems, then the HP 100-5155 desktop computer should be an easy buy. This is a reliable computing machine, and with 500 gigabytes of memory; plus a lot of other great features and specifications (such as the free 20-inch monitor screen), I have no problem recommending this specific product as one of the best computers for business.
