The Advantages of Having Your Own Wedding Website

By | Feb 16, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

Wedding websites are a great tool for the modern bride. In this article I want to share some of the benefits I can see of having your own wedding website.

Wedding Websites Reach the World

Today the world is becoming smaller and smaller – we have contact with people in many other countries, family members living overseas and friends we just met online. Keeping all of these people in touch with your wedding plans is made a lot easier if you have your own wedding website. Although social networking websites and blogs may allow you to share some thoughts, having your own wedding website takes it that much further and gives you a lot more flexibility with how you choose to run your site.

Wedding Websites Save Money on Wedding Invitations

I predict that within a few years the old ways of sending out wedding invitations will be virtually obsolete – they are expensive (paper, stamps. Postage, envelopes, etc.), time consuming (hand writing all those names, at least, if not the entire invitation!) and there is just a much better solution – wedding websites and email wedding invitations. Instead of sending those costly paper invites why not create your own personalized website where you can share anything you wish – including your guest list and registry, and then send people an email to let them know about your new wedding website. Another advantage of online wedding invitations is that your guests can also RSVP online and it makes it so much easier for you trying to keep track of who is coming and who's not.

Wedding Websites Let's Family and Friends Worldwide See Your Registry

In the past wedding registries were kept mainly at local stores but today this is often impractical – after all, how many of your family and friends really live in the same area as you? You want a registry that people can see anywhere and you can do this with your wedding website – put up a list of the things you want, how much you saw it for and where (for those who do live in the same area and want to get it there) and then let people decide online.

These are just some of the advantages of wedding websites – a tool for today's modern bride.
