The best way to fill the molds is to use a pastry bag.  This permits you to control the amount of batter that goes into each mold without spillage.  If you do not have a pastry bag, fill a plastic bag with the batter and cut off the edge of one corner.

Fill the cups up neatly for a rounder looking cake pop.  If you overfill them, you will get “rings” around the center of the pop.

Watch the timer. Cake pops will cook between four to six minutes.

Place cake pops in the freezer for about ten to fifteen minutes before frosting.  This will ensure that the icing does not melt off a hot pop.

On box of cake mix can make approximately 48 cake pops.

If you are baking with kids, be careful as the outside of the machine heats up.  Have an adult lift the lid and remove the cake pops.
