The Benefits Of Ducted Air Conditioning

By Edited Nov 13, 2013 0 0

Those that are living without air conditioning will be feeling the displeasure of excessive hot summer weather.  One way to fix this is to buy and install an air conditioner.  A great option is ducted air conditioning as it covers many areas of the home at the same time.

Key Advantages of Ducted Air Conditioning

Ducted air conditioning has so many benefits that it is used in a number of different buildings.  Aside from homes this system is also used in hotels, shopping complexes, multi-level buildings and many other spaces.

One of the biggest benefits of this type of system is that it operates according to the outside environment.  The system is installed on the roof and it controls the temperature by changing the air in the room to either hot or cold depending on the current climate.  This is beneficial as it can be used all year round.  It will heat the home in winter and cool it in summer.  An added bonus is that it will also dehumidify the air in the building.  This is an excellent feature for residents that suffer from allergies or asthma.  As the system filters the air, it then becomes free of bacteria.

Some Disadvantages of Ducted Air Conditioning Systems

Like with any product, a ducted AC has both its advantages and disadvantages.  As the system is installed into the roof of the building, it does not allow the user to change the location of the system as they need to.

Also the conversion of the air to the required temperature is performed using electricity.  This means that users should expect high electricity bills.  The system is also expensive when it is compared to other types of AC systems.

Ducted Air Conditioning is a Great Choice for Large Buildings

When it comes to air temperature control costs, heating and cooling larger buildings is expensive.  As this system is so effective, the cost of it should not put potential users off.  This type of system is good for large homes and businesses. It would also work for smaller buildings if the owner is prepared to pay the extra cost.

When buying ducted systems, HVAC filters and air conditioner covers, buyers should discuss their needs with the sales staff in a home improvement store. This will ensure that they purchase a system and accessories that fit the space that they are working with.  Also, accessories will need to be compatible with the type of conditioner that the buyer chooses.
