Doing Warm Up Stretch Exercises daily, which can be done at home , can really do wonders to our fitness and help us lose weight more effectively. Have you ever heard the term, no pain no gain? Unfortunately, this is what most individuals think about when exercise is involved. No one wants to go to the gym everyday and abuse our bodies just to stay physically fit. I know that it must sound funny, but this is what most individuals feel about how to stay fit and keep the weight off.

There are many different ways to achieve your fitness goals by doing regular stretches. Firstly, doing stretching will help lengthen and strengthen your muscles, this can be seen when you look at a gymnast. A gymnast physique comes from doing a lot of stretching and must be done to be successful in their sport.

Warm up stretch exercises will also help promote deep breathing, which your body really needs to help you run for long distances and also help you be pysically fit. If you want to prevent any injuries, doing these type of stretches is very important and should be done before doing any type of exercise.

Their are many different forms of stretching that can be done in your own home such as isometric stretching. When doing this type of stretch, you will be gently pulling your body into the stretching positon and normally hold it there for 10 to 15 seconds. You can repeat this process 4 to 5 more times and you will be surprised at the range of motion you can achieve.

Warm up stretch exercises can be very helpful in improving your motion of the body, it is important that you do not over do it, as you can be doing more harm than good. It is recommended that you do stretches every day but no more than twice a day. If you enjoy doing the isometric stretches it should not be done more than three times per week.

The best time to do your stretch exercises is to do it as soon as you wake up, even if you have no time in the morning to do any exercise, doing some simple stretches goes a long way to help you reduce stress and also feel a lot better.

Other benefits of doing stretches is that it can improve your posture. If you have very tight and tense muscles it can cause you to have a very bad posture especially if you sit at a desk all day long. Stretching of the muscles located in the lower back ,shoulders and chest can help re- align the back and give you a better posture.

If you are looking to increase your flexibility, it is best to do stretches that last for at least 20 minutes. Doing this for 1 - 3 times per week is recommended. It is important to remember not to stretch until you feel pain as this could cause more pain or injury. It is also best to do your warm up stretch exercises when the body is warm and not cold.
