Looking for the best flat screen plasma television? I have been wracking my brain, stalking plasma TV reviews, and comparing prices and perks of the different styles and brands nearly obsessively! Here's what I've chosen to be the best flat screen plasma television.
I choose a plasma television, not an LCD screen TV.
LCD screens are all the rage right now, but plasma offers the best picture. If you don't believe me, stand by both of them side by side and compare the picture. This can also be a matter of opinion, as the television I've chosen as the best, the Samsung 50 inch Plasma TV, offers a significant amount sharper color contrast than the typical LCD screen. While I am watching a movie, I like my blacks to look black, and the flat screen plasma television delivers on that front.
Specifically, I choose the Samsung 50 inch Plasma 1080 TV, Samsung PN50C7000, for purchase.
It was the best flat screen TV, and the biggest flat screen TV for my money (roughly $1300 to $1600, depending on where you are shopping). Do you realize how large a 50 inch plasma television is?! Those things are huge! Once you get it into your house and away from televisions of all the same size and even a few inches larger (as they are typically hung in the stores), you will likely be surprised as well.
So what made me lean towards this final choice of a Samsung 50 inch Plasma TV?
It's just about the flattest of the flat screen plasma televisions out there.
At a thin 1.4 inches deep, this beautiful plasma TV lies flat against the wall if you want it to, making it a sleek and stylish addition to your living room. Many other flat screen plasma televisions make the claim to be flat; the important question to ask is are they as thin as the Samsung 50 inch Plasma TV, specifically the Samsung PN50C7000.

As mentioned above, the Samsung PN50C7000 flat screen plasma TV has sharp color contrasts and an even sharper picture. Watching movies on this television gives a whole new meaning to home theater!

Because I am not familiar with the technical lingo of plasma flat screen TVs, I can only tell you how my experience has been; how the Samsung PN50C7000 looks fantastic; whether it's just hanging on the wall looking sharp or playing a movie in high definition, I am impressed. However, the majority of reviews out there on this particular best 50 inch plasma are typically positive. This is significant considering the people who review plasma televisions, or any television for that matter, tend to be harsh, honest, and brutal in their reviews.
*The one problem that we saw in our review reading for the best 50 inch plasma was the reoccurring pattern of people complaining about dot crawl, or motion blur on the television. In further reading, it became clear that this was not a problem with the TV, but a setting that came as default for the television, something that can easily be turned off or switched to a regular setting. Oddly enough, the Samsung 50 inch Plasma TV comes in gamer mode by default, which gives a less than perfect quality picture for those who want to watch movies. It is as simple as switching off this setting, however, and then you've got the best picture and best 50 inch plasma for your dollar!
