How To Find The Perfect Pair Of Jeans For Any Body

The phone call came out of nowhere, and I was more shocked than I realized. When I decided to meet up with an old friend of mine, I had the same issue that a lot of people have: Where could I find the best fitting jeans for women that would make me look awesome? It has been several years, and I wanted to look my very best. I wanted to exude confidence, I wanted to be sexy! Considering the extra pounds that I had recently packed on, this was quite a tall order, but not impossible. I am curvy and have a body that is quite disproportionate. My butt is huge, and so are my thighs. My waist, however is surprisingly tiny. I definitely do carry around more weight than I should; I'm a curvy girl. Because I hadn't seen my friend in forever, it was only natural that I would need an awesome pair of women's jeans to help me look my best. I may have gained a few extra pounds since we last saw each other, but that doesn't mean that I have to look like a slob when we finally do meet. And I will not wear stretchies or sweat pants under any circumstances. I gave those up in the early 90's and haven't looked back since. I had no choice but to buy women's jeans. Even worse, I had to buy plus size women's jeans- and make sure that they look great.

How Did I Find The Best Fitting Jeans For Women?

The first thing that I had to do was be honest about my body. I was not a size 14, nor was I a size 16. It was time to be honest and shop for plus sized jeans. Like most plus sized women, I decided to try Lane Bryant. Despite the Triangle Tags and the Ovals, I couldn't find a single pair of jeans to fit my curvy body. I was frustrated, as Lane Bryant has such a good reputation for clothing for Plus size women, but they didn't have any jeans that fit me. All of their women's jeans would either gap up in the back or look awful on me. I need jeans to flatter me, not fatten me. It was frustrating too, because the woman who worked there kept promising me a perfect fit with every armful of pants that she brought into the dressing room for me. Every fitting failure felt awful, and I found myself getting more aggravated than excited every time I saw her.

I tried a multitude of other plus size women's clothing shops and searched high and low for jeans for plus sized women. I was almost ready to give up. I had been to almost every store in the mall and there were no jeans that would fit me properly. There were jeans for short women, jeans for tall women, even jeans for pregnant women, but nothing seemed to fit me. Heck, I wasn't even asking for a pair of designer jeans, I just wanted a pair that would fit me properly and make me look good. Was that really too much to ask for? I can't lose weight over night, but I could still look good in the process, couldn't I?

Dejected, I wandered into the Gap Outlet. I hadn't tried the Gap because they are known for having clothing for smaller people and didn't carry anything plus size. A sign caught my attention, it said:

I couldn't believe my eyes. I had been trying on jeans all day without success. I figured that one more failure wouldn't hurt me. I grabbed two pairs of the Gap jeans and went into the fitting room. I was shocked to find that the Gap Curvy Jeans went right up my legs and fit perfectly. I have never found a pair of jeans before that could accommodate a woman with a small waist and huge thighs and butt. I was thrilled! I bought two pairs of these jeans, and almost skipped my way out of the mall. I was elated and could not wait to see my friend with my new jeans.

I'm not sure if all Gap stores will carry these curvy jeans or if it was because it was a Gap Outlet. Either way, I got a great deal on these jeans (I paid outlet prices) and haven't looked back since. I'd recommend curvy women who think they are impossible to fit to give these jeans a try. They come in at least two different styles, straight leg and boot cut. Both will definitely make you look awesome, guaranteed. Save yourself the headache- stop into GAP to find great jeans that will make you look beautiful, whatever your size or shape.
