This book will not win you any awards at the dinner table. These are the plain recipes that were used by our pioneer ancestors. Some of the food is good, but by modern standards some of it is very plain tasting. What this book will do is give you a great perspective and historical overview of the foods that the early Mormons ate. This is a fascinating book to read, but you probably will not be using very many of the recipes that are found in the innards of the book.

There have been a lot of famous Mormons who were Italian over the years. In fact, in the early years of Salt Lake City there was a Little Italy area located on the West Side of the City. I think we all can agree that our Country would be much safer if the Mafia members all became active members in the Mormon Church. Although the mafia may not become active Mormons we can still eat like the Italian Mafia does!
