I try to save as much as I can on groceries. Why should I pay more if I don’t have to?  If you are still paying full price at the supermarket and you would like to know how to get more bang for your buck then keep reading!  I know you want to hold on to your money just as much as I do. If you follow these tips, I’m certain that you will be able to keep more of your hard-earned cash.

First, you want to plan your shopping trip ahead of time.  It’s always best to plan ahead so you don’t end up buying items that you really don’t need.  Impulse buying is a very bad practice that we should all try to avoid.

Don’t forget to clip those coupons!  Couponing has become quite popular as everyone is trying to save. You can find coupons in the newspaper.  Also, you may want to try visiting various couponing sites on the internet.

Try to go shopping in the early part of the week.  This is usually when the best sales are going on. You should plan to go shopping when the items you need are on sale. If you buy sale items in conjunction with using coupons, this could result in huge savings.

Try shopping at stores that offer a discount card.  Most large chains such as Giant and Safeway have a store card.  If you have a large family, buying in bulk may be a good option as well. Be sure to shop for bargains and always compare prices. This will enable you to pay the least amount of money for the items that you wish to buy.

As you can see, there’s so many ways to save on groceries.  I hope these tips are helpful. Good luck with your shopping  trip!
