The Blessings and Burdens of Being a Psychic: Advice for Sensitive People in Difficult Times

By Edited May 18, 2016 0 0

If you have "the gift" of psychic abilities, you will find that your abilities can be a blessing to yourself and others. Although, they can also be a burden for you, at times. This is especially true when you know something is going to happen, but you can't convince other people of what you know so that trouble can be averted.

Looking into the future can help you prepare for it, if you are in a position to so. The physical equivalent of this kind of preparedness is to have food and water storage, batteries, a full tank of gas, cash on hand and anything you might need in the event of a disaster of some kind. People who live in areas where natural disasters are common take these precautions all the time.

Reading the tarot cards or consulting the spirits by means of a spirit board are simply other ways to prepare for the future by using your psychic abilities to obtain information. It is the paranormal version of turning on the television or radio for the latest news. The benefits are obvious: If you have an idea what is coming you can see what you might do to avert disaster or, at least, prepare for the unavoidable.

Sometimes you may look into the future and see things coming that you can't do anything about except to prepare. At those times, you may not be able to do much to prepare on the physical level, but you can appeal to the gods, the goddesses, your angels, the saints and your ancestors for help.

Sometimes fire seems to rain from heaven on good people for no reason. And, we are in a time of world-wide turmoil with corruption, wars and disasters of epic proportions. If there has ever been a time to appeal to a higher power, it may be now.

To be a psychic in this time can be a little overwhelming, but it is still a good thing. It is important to be able to look into the future and be prepared for whatever opportunities or problems are on the horizon and to try to prepare others if they will listen to us.

Advice to Psychically Sensitive People in Difficult Times

If you are psychic, share your gift with those who will let you and who appreciate your talents. Help yourself and whoever else you can.

Don't let skeptics talk you out of doing things in your life in accordance with what you know with your own special knowing. They won't understand. They might even think you're crazy. But, that's okay. If you do not follow your instincts or heed that audio or visual flash you've received telling you what is going to happen, you will be sorry.

Keep yourself calm and focused. This is almost impossible when the world is falling down around you. But, try to do some kind of meditation or breathing exercise, even if it is only for 5 minutes a day. If you can't find a peaceful place to meditate, go into the bathroom, draw a bath for yourself and lock the door for 20 minutes. Light and candle for meditative focus.

Create an altar in your house and use this as a place of meditation and prayer. If you've never created an altar, don't worry. There's no right or wrong way. Bring things to the altar that are significant to your sense of peace and personal power. Typical items are representations of the four elements, blessed water, salt, feathers or bells, incense, candles, crystals, herbs, statues, pentacles and other symbols.

Take care of yourself physically. Eat well, exercise regularly and don't deprive yourself of sleep.

Cleanse and protect your house physically and spiritually. Keep your house clean and uncluttered. Sweep you house with a broom, imagining any unwholesome spirits going out the door. Bless your house with oil or Holy water.

Take ritual cleansing baths with sea salt and a few drops of an energetically purifying essential oil like lavender or rosemary.

Try to surround yourself with positive people and eliminate negative influences in your life.

Finally, make reading the tarot or communicating with spirits of the departed a daily or weekly practice. Seek guidance for yourself and others. Commune with good spirits and ask for their help, especially, in times of trouble.
