The Career Paths for CPAs are Diverse

The career paths for CPAs and possible CPAs are many and varied. Certified Public Accountants can work for large global CPA companies right down to modest local accounting practices. The opportunities open to one as a CPA in these firms include auditing, tax and administration consulting.



There also exist opportunities in business and enterprise, having choices such as Fiscal Accounting and Reporting, Fincancial Analysis, Treasure/Cash Management and Management Accounting. Federal, state or local government also offer CPA career opportunities. Other areas to look into include Education and Non-profit Companies.



Following are career paths you may pursue when you become a CPA:



Forensic and Fraud

Forensic Accounting is not really recent. When the business environment becomes more difficult and with the constantly increasing amount of business associated investigations, Forensic Accountants are in more demand. Forensic CPAs assist in investigations relevant to financial and business factors. Investigative talents, auditing and accounting come together to make the speciality called Forensic Accounting.

Forensic - Belonging to, used in or suitable to courts of judicature or to public discussion and debate.

Forensic Accounting - providing an accounting analysis suitable for court which forms the basis for debate, discussion and dispute resolution.

Forensic Accounting involves both Litigation Support and Investigative Accounting.

Actually the Forensic CPAs training will enable them to see beyond the numbers and handle the business reality of the situation.



Audit

Every corporation is required to hire a public accounting company to audit its books to make sure that the financial report is completed based on the General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

The Auditor examines the financial report utilizing comparison, analysis and inquiries to make sure the financial statements are presented accurately.



Business and Industry/New Finance
