By Edited Jun 19, 2015 0 2

Going bald is never a fun experience, but having to pay so much of your hard-earned money on the cost of hair replacement just adds on to the grief. There are many different treatment options for you to consider if you're in need of some follicle restoration. Finding an affordable one is not too difficult, but how can you know if you're sacrificing quality for the cheap cost of hair replacement? The best way to figure it out is to do some research on each option that appeals to you. In this article, we'll briefly go over some price ranges of different common treatments available.

Cost of Hair Replacement Toupees, Wigs, and Hairpieces

Toupees and the like are generally pretty inexpensive when compared to other choices such as surgery. You can often find toupees that are good-looking and well-fitting for a few hundred dollars. If you want to get a professional style hairpiece then you might be looking around a grand or two. The cost of hair replacement toupees, wigs, and hairpieces really just vary depending on what you're looking for. Most of the time, as long as you find a legitimate company, a high price often yields greater results. However, it is very possible to find some affordable hairpieces that look and feel just as good as the more expensive systems out there.

Cost of Hair Replacement Topical Cremes and Medications

Of all the options available, this one is probably the cheapest. Although the problem with these is that the results vary so greatly. Also, you may end up spending a lot more money in the long run because in many cases you have to keep buying more product and medication. The cost of hair replacement topical cremes and medications are very appealing, but you must be aware that you are rolling the dice when using products like Rogaine or Propecia. Cost of Hair Replacement Surgery

Surgery is by far the most expensive option of the three outlined in this article. The price you pay for this treatment, however, is almost always worth it in the end when you can look in the mirror every day and feel confident about your new look for many years later. It also helps that this method requires virtually no long-term maintenance. The cost of hair replacement surgery depends on a lot of factors. Some things that can influence the price are your location, which company you select, and how much you want grafted just to name a few.

When trying to decide on a company it's important to keep in mind that quality is number one. You'll want to do plenty of research on the establishments and make sure everything about them is legitimate. When you're dealing with prices this high, getting ripped off is the last thing you need. Shopping and comparing is highly recommended before making a decision.

$20,000 is an insane amount of money for hair. I think I will just use a razor when the time comes. I always wondered about the price though.
