If you are looking for crappie fishing locations you have to follow some simple guidelines.

During the year there are different times when crappie will either hide in deep waters or other locations to avoid both the cold and the warm weather. Crappies will move towards lakes that are deeper as winter comes. In the rest of the year it will be found near the shelter of sunken logs, feeder stream mouths, stumps, weed beds and basically locations to hide. If you are looking to fish crappie you need to look for such locations.

You have to always choose those fishing positions the fish will not be disturbed from. If you are for autumn fishing or even spring you should know that this is a really active fish. You can easily use a moving jig to catch them with minimum effort. Summer will basically change everything. Anglers have to find different shaded locations right near deeper waters. You have to be aware that catching more crappie at night is possible as this is when this fish tends to feed.

Whenever crappie are in lakes it might keep away from shores. Crappie fishing techniques are different because of this fact when we are talking about lakes. You will need to use a boat and look for small coves and locations that offer a drop off. Night fishing is really easy in such locations as well. Also, you should go out fishing 2 days before a full moon comes. This day is a lot better for catching crappie. You have to understand that you do need to develop an eye for crappie locations.

The good news is that it will be very easy to find what you are looking for after a few times going fishing. Also, in the event that crappie is not caught there is always the chance to catch other fish as there are others near crappie banks. Basically this means that people need to have fun so that crappie fishing techniques can be developed. Actually, fishing crappie is great for advanced and beginner fishermen.
