The Dark Magician Knight Card

Unfortunately, many will probably not want to go with this card, especially if they are serious players or duelists, though you may want to get this card if you are a serious collector. At first this card would seem like it would be good since it requires a sacrifice, but appearances can be deceiving. The truth is that you may have to sacrifice a stronger card in order to get the Dark Magician Knight into play.

The Knight will start with a strong 2500 attack power but will need you to sacrifice a card to do the summoning in the first place. Considering that you will have to have a Dark Magician in play as well, that can typically mean you have to use your Dark Magician for the sacrifice! What that means is you are basically just trading the cards and very little more.

Personally, I don't see much logic to place this card in your dueling deck since it seems to not do much else beyond be a wasted card if you happen to draw it out. So why would a card like this exist? Many of the top players question it's creation considering it's minuscule play value.

At the end of the day this card is more likely a collector item since it usually ends up useless for actual duels and Yugioh Trading Cards game play. But if you want to create a full dark magician deck, then as a collector you probably have a need for this card. But real players should avoid this card if they plan on competing in tournaments or fun duels. Still be on the lookout, however, if you are trying to get a complete magician set.

There are many more useful or stronger cards that include (potentially) The Dark Magician Girl, the Dark Magician himself, and the Chaos Magicians. So think very carefully when considering including the dark magician knight into your duelist deck.
