The Desert Camouflage Backpack

By | Aug 17, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

Different people look for different types of bags. Backpacks are no exception. In fact, backpack brands and styles are so numerous that it's so confusing to choose when you're looking to buy one. Fortunately, there is one type that's in a class all by itself -- the desert camouflage backpack.

At first, it may not look like much with its seemingly sandy and dirty look. After all, its original purpose is to appear invisible when it's in the desert. It was made to look rugged and be tough -- the perfect outdoor backpack. It could have just been called "camouflage backpack" but that sounds like it just wants to go into hiding. Attaching the word "desert" to the front properly describes the toughness of the backpack and how useful it can be to anyone who owns a desert camouflage backpack.

The desert camouflage backpack (DCBP) isn't only for the world's hottest and driest places, though. It can go anywhere. Some of the toughest men and women in the world bring it to the city, the jungle, and just about anywhere else they need to be. By this, I mean our police officers, the Marines, the US Army, and even FBI and CIA agents. These backpacks provide not only a way to carry and protect their things. Any bag can do that. Most desert camouflage backpacks also provide indispensible tools when these men and women are on their missions.

One of the outstanding features of these packs is waterproof construction. None of the DCBP owner's things will get wet. You can even say that the "desert" in the name of this bag describes how things will stay dry inside the pack. Deserts may be dry but the other places where one can bring their DCBP include places that get a lot of rain -- jungles and forests, cities and towns, rivers and mountains. Remember, it's an all-around outdoor backpack.

Another feature that will attract backpackers is the drinking system. Most desert camouflage backpacks also have a drinking system that consists of a water pouch and a drink tube. This makes it easy to bring and drink water without having to bring out your water bottle or carry an extra water canteen. The desert camouflage backpacks that don't have this drink system have dedicated pockets for water bottles that are easily accessible. Either one is cool, literally and, in the right situation, figuratively.

Other features include extra belts and rings around the backpack that allow attachments and add-on pouches, chest and waist belts that help stabilize load when carrying the backpack, and a removable and adjustable sternum strap to help distribute the load from the shoulders.

The desert camouflage backpack may not look as snazzy as the bags with bright colors such as red, bright blue, and purple, but what rugged outdoorsman wants a bright-colored bag to attract animals? Not going past city limits? Bring the desert camouflage backpack to school or work or at the skate park and you're automatically seen as tough and rugged as your backpack. It will set you apart and above everyone else. You'll certainly feel everyone's eyes asking where you've been and what you do on weekends.

Tough, durable, rugged, full-featured, cool, and comfortable -- what else can you ask for in a backpack? So when you go out to try and look for a new backpack, check out desert camouflage backpacks. When you find one, there's a very big probability you will go home with one.
