By | Dec 20, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

Entering the healthcare field as a certified nursing assistant can be a very good choice not only because the trainings required for this only last for a very short period of time specifically for at least month but also because the work that is involved in this area can be so rewarding as well.

There are a lot of CNA schools nowadays where you can apply and get high quality CNA training. On the other hand, if you want to become a certified nursing assistant but you lack the funds necessary for the trainings required, you can look for free CNA programs. These are usually provided by nursing homes and long term care facilities. Free CNA trainings are provided by these healthcare institutions as to the reason that they are looking to hire certified nursing assistants that they themselves trained so that they can be assured that the persons in their institution are competitive enough. The average annual salary of certified nursing assistants usually falls at $25, 000. However, this may not be true for all certified nursing assistants as to the reason that the salary of a nursing aide may vary depending on where he or she is working. This means that certified nursing assistants that are employed in hospitals may not have the same pay as those that are working in a health care facility. Aside from the institution as to where a nursing aide is employed, his or her salary may also be based on the amount of experience the he or she already has.

Aside from working in hospitals, long term care facilities, and nursing homes, certified nursing assistants can also apply for a job in mental health facilities and in private homes. Among the different types of healthcare facilities that are employing certified nursing assistants, hospitals would perhaps the ones who are providing the largest salaries. This would be so since the work load for certified nursing assistants working in hospitals is basically more tedious than those who are employed in private homes and nursing homes. Nowadays, the work of certified nursing assistants have become more and more mobile as to the reason that most of them are now traveling with their patients and rendering care from one place to another. Mobile certified nursing assistants are said to earn more than those working in hospitals.

In general, if you gain more experience as a certified nursing assistant, your average wage rate will increase.
