Easy pulled pork recipes

The easiest pulled pork recipes ever. When shoulder of pork, or mixed cuts of pork are slow cooked over a low heat the result is a piece of pork that is so tender and succulent that it literally falls apart. This type of pork is known as pulled pork and it is a favourite type of meat among many people the world over.

When most people prepare pulled pork recipes they will smoke the pork to get the desired consistency, however the pork can be cooked using non barbecue methods by using a slow cooker or a conventional oven. In my opinion a slow cooker is the best way to prepare and cook all of these easy pulled pork recipes since they are convenient and easy to clean. What’s more, slow cookers are readily available and very cheap to buy.

Sweet and sour pulled pork recipe

Pork is a meat that goes very well in a sweet and sour dish and a pulled pork recipe is no different. There are many different types, and brands of sweet and sour sauces available and the decision on which ones to use is entirely up to you. I can recommend the sweet and sour sauce from Sharwoods, however any brand will do.

Simply pour the sweet and sour sauce in to a slow cooker, add a cup of water and thoroughly mix with a spoon. Put the pork in to the sauce and submerge to ensure it is fully coated, and then cook for eight to ten hours or until the pork is tender and falls apart.

Once the pork is cooked pull it apart and serve on a bed of rice or egg noodles, pour over some of the left over sauce and enjoy.

If you don’t like using ready-made jar sauces or prefer to make you own sweet and sour sauce from scratch you can dispense with the jar sauce and use your own instead.

Barbecued pulled pork recipe

This pulled pork recipe is exceptionally easy to make, and once again you don’t need any culinary skills to prepare this dish. All you need is a bottle of your favourite bbq sauce from the local store and a cup of water. Squirt the bbq sauce in to a slow cooker and add the water. Take a spoon and stir thoroughly. Put the pork in the sauce and turn it over a few times, ensuring the pork is fully coated. Cook on a low heat for eight to ten hours or until the pork is tender and falls apart.

Once the pulled pork is cooked shred it up and serve in some sesame topped baps with a rasher of bacon and a side of coleslaw and some fries.

Hot and spicy pulled pork recipe

This hot and spicy pulled pork recipe is basically a pulled pork curry and is ideal for those people who like spicy foods. This is another exceptionally simple pulled pork recipe that involves pouring a sauce of curry sauce in to a slow cooker, adding a cup of water, stirring thoroughly and then coating the pork in it and cooking for eight to ten hours or until the pork is tender and falls apart.

Once the pork is cooked shred it and serve on a bed of long grain rice and a chapati or naan bread.

The type of curry sauce you use is entirely up to you. If you want a very hot pulled pork recipe try a vindaloo sauce and add some additional chillies, if you want a moderately hot dish try a madras sauce and if you want a mild dish try a bhuna sauce. This curried pulled pork dish is very versatile and it allows you to vary the mount of spice according to taste.

Chinese style pulled pork recipe

All types of pork goes very well with a variety of different Chinese style sauces, such as black bean sauce, plum sauce and ginger sauce, and pulled pork is no different.

As with all these pulled pork recipes all you need to do is take the jar of sauce, pour it in to a slow cooker and add a cup of cold water before thoroughly mixing it in and stirring it up. Add the pork and roll t in the sauce in order to make sure it is fully coated and then cook for eight to ten hours or until the pork is tender and falls apart.

Once the pork is cooked shred it and serve on a bed of egg fried rice, plain rice or egg noodles.

A final word on the easiest pulled pork recipes ever

Pulled pork is, without a doubt once of the best pork recipes. Pulled pork is tender, succulent and easy to eat. The only downside is the amount of time it takes to cook, however the time it takes is a small price to pay for such a tasty and versatile dish.

These pulled pork recipes are very easy and require ver little preparation time. In fact, all you have to do is go to your local store, pick up a jar of your favourite cooking sauce and grab a shoulder of pork. The type of sauce you choose really doesn’t matter and the choice is entirely up to you.  These pulled pork recipes are ideal for those people who don’t have time to spend hours cooking in the kitchen, or those people who are just not good cooks.

Left over pulled pork also makes a great side dish for a bbq or family cookout. The left over pulled pork can be put in a bap and then topped with bacon or the left over pork can be put in a roll with a beef burger. The pulled pork is nice cold, however it is even better warmed up on the bbq and the best way to do this is to wrap the pork in tin foil and gently warm through on the grill.
