The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Plugin The Lost Spires - The Archeology Guild Headquarters: Lobby

By Edited Sep 30, 2016 0 0

Archeology Guild Location

The Archeology Guild castle is the headquarters of the Archeology Guild in the TES IV: Oblivion plugin The Lost Spires and contains a lot of items, many of them unique, some of which interact with the player, and others that can be gained as rewards for completing Guild quests in The Lost Spires series, or purchased from Guild members. All the various display cases need a key to open, and the keys are quest rewards.

As progress is made through the Archeology Guild quest series, and advancements are made in Guild rank, it is possible to gain access to locked items or take more and more items that initially cannot be done or taken without picking locks or stealing them. Various pedestals that have glass covers on also have the covers removed, allowing access to or interaction with the contents. Copies of the posters on the walls may be purchased from Guild members as the quests progress.

Many containers have random contents which are often levelled.

The Guild consists of the following locations:

Archeology Guild Lobby - Ground Floor

Archeology Guild Lobby - Right Hand Balcony

Archeology Guild Lobby - Left Band Balcony

Archeology Guild Library

Archeology Guild Sleeping Quarters

Archeology Guild Dungeon

Norlene's Quarters

If you drop anything but a flawless gemstone inside its' mouth - using a Telekinesis spell is the easiest way - the Zinj will fire a bolt at you, killing you instantly. The book Sentinels of Kar'toom from the side quest The Sorcerer's Captive gives a clue as to what you need to do with the Zinj.

If you drop three Flawless Diamonds, Pearls, Topaz, Emeralds, Rubies and Sapphires in the mouth, the following message appears "You have won over the Zinj's Malevolent heart. It is now ready to bestow gifts." The gemstones must be flawless, and you have to drop them in individually - if you add Flawless Diamond (3) for example, it only counts as one.

Once the Zinj's heart is warmed, if you add more flawless stones you may get a gift. The gift depends on a number of things, including stone deposited and previous stones deposited. Gifts received (you may get nothing) include Zinj's Malice arrows, which do fire damage on the target, Zinj's Malice mace which does frost damage, 2000 Gold, Welkynd Stones and Varla Stones.
