Maps for quests in the TES IV: Oblivion plugin The Lost Spires.

Newfound Spire Ruin

Newfound Spire Ruin is the dungeon in the quest The Newfound Ruin.

There are 42 Wisp Stalks, 1 Somnalius Plant, 7 Emetic Russula, 9 Morning Glory and 54 Cairn Bolete in the dungeon.

The Newfound Spire Ruin
(1) Empty Warlock Chest. Nothing in this one, but any others will have treasure, sometimes very good treasure.

(2) Hole in the floor. Jumping down this hole takes you to the rest of the Ruin dungeon, but you can't climb back up.

(3) Levelled beast. This selects a beast at or below the players' level. Level 1 is a Rat, level 2 a Wolf, level 6 a Timber Wolf, level 9 a Black Bear, level 12 a Mountain Lion and level 16 plus a Brown Bear.

(4) Chest. This has a chance of the following levelled items: Silver Nugget, Lockpick, Repair Hammer, arrows, stealth potions, spell scrolls or Tomes and always contains Gold.

(5) Chest. This contains one or two items of levelled restorative loot.

(6) Levelled Savage Ogre.

(7) Chest. This has a chance of the following levelled items: Gold or Silver Nugget, Lockpick, Repair Hammer, arrows, stealth potions, spell scrolls or Tomes and always contains Gold.

(8) Rockfall. When this is approached, rocks fall from the ceiling.

(9) Levelled nature creature. This selects a beast at or below the players' level. Level 1 is a Wolf, level 5 an Imp, level 6 a Timber Wolf, level 9 a Black Bear, level 11 a Will o' the Wisp, level 12 a Mountain Lion, level 13 a Spriggan and level 15 plus a Brown Bear.

(10) Chest. This has a chance of the following levelled items: Gems, Conjurer ingredients, alchemical apparatus, soul gems, potions, spell scrolls or tomes and always contains Gold.

(11) Metallic Shard. This is the object that you need to get. When you take it, your quest log updates and you are told to return back to the Guild with the Shard.

(12) Rock Door, which is opened by the floor pad at 13 and leads to a tunnel which comes out at 15 in the entrance room. This is how you get back to the entrance.

(13) Floor Pad. When this is stepped on, it opens the rock door at 12.

(14) Warlock Chest. This has a chance of the following levelled items: gems, flawless gems, Conjurer ingredients, alchemical apparatus, magic armour, magic arrows, magic jewellery, spell scrolls or tomes, soul gems, magic weapon, potions and always contains Gold and three flawless gems.

(15) Tunnel exit, opened by pad at 13, reached through 12

(16) Chest. This has a chance of the following levelled items: a skill book (stealth based), levelled Gold, jewellery, magic armour, magic weapon, stealth potions, soul gems, lockpicks and always contains Gold and a weapon.

(17) Chest. This has a chance of the following levelled items: a skill book (stealth based), levelled Gold, jewellery, magic armour, magic weapon, stealth potions, soul gems, lockpicks and always contains Gold.

(18) Sack. This has a chance of the following levelled items: Lockpicks, Repair Hammer or levelled clutter.

(19) Sack. This contains 0 to 4 food items.

(20) Sack. This contains a levelled healing potion.

(21) Chest. This has a chance of the following levelled items: Gold or Silver Nuggets, Lockpicks, Repair Hammer, arrows, stealth potions, spell scrolls or tomes and always contains Gold.

(22) Sack. This contains 0 to 4 food items.

(23) Chest. This contains 1 to 2 levelled restorative items.

The Excavation Site

You will be unable to accomplish much here unless you have joined the Archeology Guild. The Assistants will say "This is an official Archeology Guild excavation site. Please, move along."

The excavation site is visited in The Lost Spires quest, Tumyr's Dissolving Agent.

(5) Ampyx excavation. There is a Shovel, a Rake and three Recently Used Pickaxes in the excavation.

(6) Assistant Quovi

(7) A Hand Scythe and a Food Sack containing 0 to 2 items of food.

(8) Tent. There are two tables in here, and hung up is a Slimy Cocoon from the Ampyx. On the right hand side of the tent is a table on which there are the following:

Novice Mortar & Pestle
Novice Alembic
Ectoplasm

On the table on the left hand side are the following:

Bone
Two Crumpled Pieces of Paper

(9) Four Crates, three Sacks and three Barrels. The four Crates each have a chance of containing a Repair Hammer, 0 to 2 low value or worthless item, and a low value item. One Sack contains Gold, another has 0 to 5 items of grain-type food and the third the chance of a worthless item and 0 to 3 loot items. One Barrel contains 0 to 3 alchemical ingredients; another contains 0 to 4 ingredients and the third 1 to 3 items of food.

In the Desk are 0 to 2 cheap book items and 0 to 3 pieces of desk clutter.

(2) Chest - In this are 0 to 3 low value or worthless items and the chance of a loot item.
