Recovering the Crusader's Relics

This quest is started by picking up the Cuirass of the Crusader which is next to Ovidius who is beside the pool where you enter Cyrod after being sucked through the portal in Raid on Castle Relleis. You must find all the Crusader's Relics which are scattered on the ground in the vicinity of the pool where you landed. They all have quest markers on the local map to get you into the right vicinity, but they may be hard to see on the ground due to being hidden by plants. They all appear to be somewhat the worse for wear, and no longer have the effect they originally did, and will therefore require a bit of fixing up to get them in full working order again.
Once they have all been recovered, this completes this quest and starts the quest Reforging the Crusader's Relics.
This quest starts after you ask the human Ovidius who is standing by the pool where you enter Cyrod about Vindasel.
"A group of Alessian soldiers are trying to liberate Vindasel and free the slaves within. I should try to assist them."
Travel north to the Ayleid city of Vindasel. Outside are a dead Ayleid Soldier and a dead Alessian Soldier. Enter Vindasel, which is not in ruins as it is in the Third Era. There are Ayleid and Alessian Soldiers fighting throughout the city. It is possible for the Alessians to be killed, except for Captain Donnato who can't. At a decent enough level, the Ayleid Soldiers are not too difficult to defeat. Once all the Ayleid Soldiers are killed, your quest log updates.

You must now free all the slaves from their cages. Once done so, you log updates again.
"All the Ayleid soldiers have been dispatched and the slaves have been freed. Vindasel has now been liberated."
You could, if you like, free the slaves first and then defeat the Ayleids, but it is easier freeing them without people attacking you. This completes the quest. Go and speak to Captain Donnato about Al-Esh, which starts the quest The Slave Queen.
This is a small quest unaffiliated to the main series that is done in the Second Era. It is set in Lower Vanua and some form of water breathing is going to be useful, if not essential.
Lower Vanua is slightly different in layout to the modern Vanua and in slightly better condition. There is no entrance to The Lost Catacombs or the Shrine of the Crusader from here, and an extra room.
Credit: Lanceor/Bethesda Softworks/eGDC LtdWhen you enter Lower Vanua you are greeted by an Argonian, Swims-With-Fish, who needs your help. Speak to him to find out what he wants.
"I've met an Argonian names Swims-With-Fish who says his little brother is locked inside Vanua South. I should retrieve the key to the lower gate from Swims-With-Fish's desk and escort the youngster out of danger."
He is unable to get in from this side, and he doesn't want to face the other inhabitants by going the other way. You can ask Swims-With-Fish a number of questions, about how to get to his room. His description of his little brother is less than useful to say the least, and the other inhabitants are probably a bit beyond creepy.
The locked gate is accessible from the lower side, but it cannot be opened without the key. Go the other way, defeating any undead encountered, and make your way to a room with a fallen column on the north west side and a stone slab in the centre.

Proceed to another room with several stacks of crates in it. Jump onto the single Crate, then onto the stack of two Battered Crates and then onto the stack of two Battered Crates and two Crates and finally onto the upper area. Make your way along the edges of the room to the other end.

"This must be the disused garbage chute that Swims-With-Fish was talking about. I'm not sure if jumping into it is such a good idea."
From here you are going to be underwater for some time, so a water breathing spell or item is a good idea.

Pass through and you are on a balcony above Swims-With-Fish's room. In the room is his pet Slaughterfish, Rocky, will attack you. Swims-With-Fish doesn't seem to be bothered if you kill Rocky, but if you don't feel like killing someone's pet, just withstand the attacks. By the time you are doing this quest, a Saluighterfish is unlikely to pose any sort of threat.

"There's no sign of a young Argonian anywhere, but I have found a very large, leathery egg. Could this be...?"
It appears that Swims-With-Fish's little brother is still rather underdeveloped.
Swim up to the balcony on the opposite side of the room to the side you entered and open the locked gate, then make your way back to Swims-With-Fish who will approach you and take both the key and the egg from you, thanking you and giving you a levelled enchanted piece of jewellery, probably a ring, but other types are possible. This completes the quest.
