#2) The Bugatti Veyron Price - $1,700,000

The Veyron has the fastest acceleration speed in the world, reaching 60 mph in 2.6 seconds. The Veyron has W16 engine-16 cylinders in 4 banks of 4 cylinders fed by four turbochargers, sounds great for the environment. This car is by far the fastest accelerating production car out there. Some cool things about it are that it has 10 radiators. Maintenance is very expensive but if you can buy a Veyron, yo can afford to fix it. Just the transmission will cost you $120,000. Just to change the tires will cost you $25,000 for the tires and $70,000 for the labor in France. It was also names the "Car Of The Decade" by Top Gear.

#1) 09' SSC Ultimate Aero TT Price - $654,000

The SSC Ultimate Aero TT is a limited production version of the SSC Ultimate Aero built by Shelby SuperCars. It is the fastest production car in the world, clocking in at 257 mph. That's 414 km/h, incredible. These statistics have been verified by Guinness World Records. Shelby SuperCars has also announced the production of the Ultimate Aero EV, an electrical version of the sports car. The Aero EV will be the fastest electric production car in the world. The Ultimate Aero EV at 1,000 HP and 800 lb-ft of it will reach 60 mph in 2.5 with a top speed of 208 mph.

Great article, and good reviews of the Bugatti and the SSC.
I am not an expert of super-cars (I only drive a modest Audi) So my comment is more a question than a critique, however, I do have the belief that the fastest car is the Koenigsegg ???

The Koenigsegg held the record at 241.63 mph until the Bugatti broke it with a speed of 253.2 mph. The SSC Aero broke Bugatti's record with a speed of 256.12 mph. :-)
