Cruise Hotties

When I downloaded the Kindle reading app onto my Android phone I had no idea that it would soon become one of my all time favorite apps ever. I have discovered the joy of using and reading Amazon Kindle digital books.

I have always read a lot, but the last few years I have been reading mainly online and not as many books. I got tired of dealing with my Barnes and Noble bookstore as well as the Hastings book store here in my town. They never had what I wanted and I could always order it cheaper online off of Amazon or even EBay.

Now that I have been reading Kindle books on the Android App I am now hooked. I have been reading a lot lately. Reading books is obviously important for writers, but it can be detriment if you read too much as oppose dot actually working by writing some articles.

I love the fact that I can download a sample of a Kindle book from Amazon. I have downloaded many Kindle book samples and some of the books I thought I may enjoy were in fact poorly written and so I didn’t buy those books that did not interest me after I read through the Kindle Sample of the book. This saved me money as I may have bought a book the traditional way and then got upset that I spent money on a crappy book.

On the other hand I have read some book samples I did not think I would like and ended up buying the books and loving them. I have read a variety of books the past few weeks. I have been using the Kindle App fro Android for a few months now, but I never truly “got it” until recently. I can instantly search for a book, download it on my phone, and read it and my leisure. Most Kindle books are much cheaper then buying the paperback or hardback version of the book.

Some people may hate reading books on a Smartphone using the Kindle App, but I love it. You can customize the text size as well as choosing a white background, a sepia background, or a black background with white words.

I love using the black background with white lettering, especially in a dark room at night time. My next step is to buy one of the actual Kindles from Amazon, but for now I am happy with simply using the Kindle App on my phone.

Here is a sampling of some of the great books I have been reading using my Kindle Amazon App.

  • Podcast Solutions: The Complete Guide to Audio and Video Podcasting
  • Plain Secrets: An Outsider Among the Amish
  • Under and Alone: The True Story of the Undercover Agent Who Infiltrated America's Most Violent Outlaw Motorcycle Gang
  • Ghost in the Wires: My Adventures as the World's Most Wanted Hacker
  • The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin

Under and Alone: The True Story of the Undercover Agent Who Infiltrated America's Most Violent Outlaw Motorcycle Gang is one of the best books I have ever read. I love reading about the outlaw bike culture, and this is the greatest presentation of them I have ever seen. Billy McQueen was an ATF agent went undercover into an outlaw motorcycle gang and eventually became a full-fledged “patched member” of the biker gang. This is his story of the events, and it was a fascinating read.

Ghost in the Wires: My Adventures as the World's Most Wanted Hacker is the story of Kevin Mitnick as told by Kevin Mitnick. I was not aware of the way that he utilized “Social Engineering” or how much Phreaking he did. The story is a fascinating read. You do not have to be a tech nerd as Kevin Mitnick wrote this book for a wide audience. He explains the truth of how he was able to do some truly amazing things. He actually knew when the FBI was closing in on him. The Information he was able to gather by hacking and Social Engineering is truly amazing. This book by Kevin Mitnick is definitely a must read book for anyone looking to buy some Kindle books.

The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin is the book written by the author who moved next door to the Palins for a few months. The Palin camp was all up in arms about this guy, but the Palin insider info he gathered for his book did not come from him living next door to them, it came from people who grew up with and knew Sara and Todd. If you are a right-wing tea partier then you will advised to stay away from this book as it paints your “darlin’” in a negative light, but for everyone else this is a cool and interesting book.

The newest Kindle was released and it sells for only $79.00. If you love to read then the Kindle is the way f the future. Here are the Kindles that you can buy from Amazon to read books.

  • Kindle ($79)
  • Kindle Touch ($99)
  • Kindle Touch 3G ($149)
  • Kindle Keyboard ($99)
  • Kindle Keyboard 3G ($139)
  • Kindle Fire ($199)

Each Kindle has different features and or benefits that you may like. The Kindle for $79 is a great deal, however if you want to take advantage of the Kindle books that will narrate the text into audio for you automatically then you will need at least the Kindle Touch.

If you want a Kindle that can also perform like an IPad by allowing you to watch TV, browse the Web, download games, etc then the Kindle Fire is a great deal at $199.00.

Digital EBooks have been around for a long time, but Amazon recognized that digital books would be the future if the technology was right, and in doing so Amazon created in my opinion the best distribution and reading technology for those who love books.

A kindle is also more eco-friendly as no trees have to be cut down to print as you would with a traditional book.
