This is one of the most beautiful trails in the World. It is located on the Island of Kauai in Hawaii. This scenic trail runs about 11 miles on the North Shore of Kauai. The Kalalau pathway is part of the Nā Pali Coast-State Park. The Nā Pali Coast State-Park is truly beautiful and definitely unlike any of the State Parks in the Continental 48. There is no way to compare Nā Pali Coast State Park and Yellowstone Park because the parks are so vastly different.

One of the highlights is the Hanakoa Falls -- it is not located directly on the trail, but it is only a short jaunt from the path. Sometimes the path to the Falls is easy to follow and at other times it will be hard because of the wet ground and bad ground conditions. The passage to the Hanakoa Falls is not maintained like the rest of the Kalalau Trail is. If you ever get to Hawaii and the Island of Kauai then you should definitely check out Kalalau trail.

A lot of the area along the pathway is not accessible by land unless you are accessing it from the trail. The true beauty of Hawaii really shines along this Hawaiian hiking trial. Although you may feel remote you are will never be very far from Civilization. You will be within 15 miles of civilization at all times. You can and probably will see some wild goats grazing a long your way. Seriously, wild goats are in Hawaii along this trail.

It is relatively safe but it can be demanding in certain places and the challenges can also vary depending on the weather conditions. IT is best to always take a partner with you when you go hiking this trail.

For the most up-to-date information on current trail conditions you can get it on the Facebook Page. You can also see some amazing pictures of the trail that was taken by people who hiked either all of the trail or a day hike of part of the trail.
