If there was one thing that can help propel you to success and help you achieve everything you have ever wanted, it would be motivation. This is simply the ability to get yourself to do what you planned on doing at the exact time that you planned on doing it. Most people fail to achieve their goals simply because they fail to get their body to move and to do the things they said they would do. Look at how many people set New Year's resolutions just to set the same ones the following year. If you have had trouble achieving your goals, then it may be time to start looking more into what sort of things can help get you to take action.

Many people believe that in order to succeed, all you need to do is to figure out what to do. Although this is an important element of success, there are many people who know how to lose weight but never accomplish this goal simply because knowing what to do and actually doing it is two different things. Knowledge is just potential power. To get full use of it, you need to tap into the power of motivation. If you want to motivate yourself, then you need to find out what makes you tick. This can be different from person to person. For many people, the sweet taste of success if enough to drive them while for others, avoiding a life of regret is a better motivator.

Regardless of what motivational strategy you use (motivational stories, quotes, songs, etc.), the key is to use it consistently. Unless you are able to get yourself to take consistent action, you will fail over and over again. This is just a fact of life. Those who achieve their goals are able to use their motivation to enable them to take action until they produce the desired results. This is a formula that succeeds almost every time. Of course, just motivating yourself to take action isn't good enough. You need to also know when your approach isn't working as well. This is where adjustment comes in.

Use your motivation to take action. When you take action, you will get results. If the results you get isn't what you want, then try something else. Learn from your past failures and adjust your strategy until you eventually achieve your goals. Once you have the dream, crank up the motivation and take massive action. That will ensure that you will get closer to your goals.

I find that when I can focus my motivation, it is a very powerful influence.

Is internal and personal; no one can really motivate someone else.
